...the T-shirts the secret decoder ring (hey I need one too) the events I've plan to be holding locally and a bunch of other stuff I really can't reveal right now.
The GIS project looks like it's gonna be a long term one. It will make it possible to lay out a course at a location from anywhere in the world as long you have the topological data on the site! By using GPS and precision laser surveying equipment you can recreate the course almost perfectly every time and the computer mockups should allow you to do a run-through of the course w/o actually being there. This one could take a couple of years so don't hold your breath.
Leave a beer under the tree for me, I'm gonna need it. -Santa

i have one serious issue to address. for many kids this is a tough year. i actually got this idea from Cliff Coleman, he is possibly the biggest hearted skater i know. but i challenge all you guys, KHRT,FCR,SSS,Independant riders whoever and whatever, if you are doing ok this year and you have the means, buy a skateboard for some kid you don't know and give it to them through whatever program or way you want (toys for tots, church, whatever, no judgement). spread the cheer. if you are and have been a skater most of your life and many of you have, you remember what it like to sit in class, waiting to get out and skate. you know how much it will mean to them. spread the cheer, and Happy Holidays to all of you. George.

I've been busy Leo and I have a bunch of stuff to send you (as time allows). But it's getting to the point that I'd better send it or the sliegh would buckle under all this "wait"... ...I promise that it will be out to you soon though.
I have decided on a new address (I know...): asidlo@21stcentury.net so use it from now on.
I also have been working on the membership database now that I have upgraded all of my equipment (new laptop & handheld). You'll like it! Now all I have to figure out is how to do the mailmerge from the dB.
My other projects include: the Wicked (having it fabricated) the trucks the CD the cone the GIS the

I'll keep searching for one. I'm starting off looking by looking at the hands of the female persuasion. If they've got a wedding ring I don't bother. They don't want another one and won't help me on my quest. Sometimes you have to look at their chests to make sure they aren't keeping the secret decoder ring on a long necklace.

A-A-A went down at WLAC yesterday. Isabelle from gravity got it together and started making some clean runs. Some others were a littled haired (myself included) but in the end it all went down with no one going down and everyone RIPPING!
A-A-A is a FCR thing. Don't whine, don't say the course sucks, just go skate it to your best.
Slappy, I have the secret decoder ring, wanna know where?
It's a secret.......

Now Slappy, The Secret eyepatch will be distributed A.S.A.P! In the interim, might I suggest the temporary fix? It comes in 2 forms...#1) You wink at fellow members ,while passing in crowds! Be careful with this exercise! #2) Close 1 eye so that the Knucklehead Knectar doesn't make a tight,inline,6' on center appear to be a 6' w/ 2' offsets! Trust me! The cones are in the works as well as other pleasant, As well as beneficial attributes will surface soon! Dave G

no, but i didn't read the left side (til after) i figured it was your dad or mine. however, i did drop in on bowls, get towed behind a motorcycle to see what speed wobs were (we didn't have hills in fla) jump off bridges, jump out of perfectly good helicopters and climb a mountain or two. so much for listening to parents. i'm still skating and jumping off the occasional bridge. i turn 40 in five months, you get faster after forty, just ask anyone. the past racing season proves it. GBJ, i'm looking forward to being a member of the USSSF. George KHRT

it doesn't matter, i was only trying to convey that if there was something and everybody else had one, i want one too. (and i always wanted a decoder ring) it could be dissapointing as in "always remember to drink your ovaltine" decoded from one of the best Christmas movies the "Christmas Story" and little ralphy and his decoader ring. now the next best Christmas movie would be Glen's "This is not skateboarding". buy it for Christmas and show it to all your relatives kids.

no, but if we weren't talking about something that didn't exist then we wouldn't be having this conversation, which we didn't, about something that hasn't happened. but if there was such a thing that we are not talking about, did exist, i want one too. so i would then know what we wouldn't be talking about.

Adam (T), "AAA business"? Did I miss something or am I just forgetting? I like things that cut right to the heart of the matter, too, so right now I'm feeling like I either missed or forgot something apparently important. There will be innumerable ways in which interested members can contribute their skills, talents and enthusiasm to the USSSF effort.
What I left out of my previous post was that while this Executive Committee building process is happening, I/we are in the process of developing a "fill-in-the-blanks", USSSF roll-out campaign, which will be completed and commence as soon as is possible. This information will include all available (some of what we will or will not be able to do will be subsequently determined, depending on what type of response we get to the membership programs) information on the USSSF, its' programs, intentions, costs and benefits. I'm working to bring this concept, the USSSF, up to speed as quickly as I possibly can, but know from experience that there is an order in which things should happen to provide the least amount of complications and highest potential for success.

GBJ & USSF,
I too would like to join the USSF. I AM NOT against your organiation, I am for it. (contrary to possible perception) I would like to at a minimum be a contact for the Phoenix metropolitan area (sixth largest city in the USA) and promise to keep out of the politics in spreading the word of the USSF. People have a right to their opinion, they also have a right to know about a organization for slalom skateboard enthusiasm.
You obviously know how I feel about the "other" organization and titles, the bottom line is that I want to help spread the word about slalom and if the USSF is about this, then I want to join myself.
Whoever said that AAA business, I like it, like a knife it cut straight to the point. A sharp knife is a definate tool in cooking up a good meal.
Best Regards,

If everything goes as planned, the USSSF will provide so much more than t-shirts and membership cards to its' member and to the slalom skateboarding community-at-large. I have been in the process of forming the Executive Committee (President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer) from the very best and most appropriate people available. Once there is an Exec Committee, WE will finalize membership categories, prices and filling out the rest of the positions on the Board of Directors. There will be regions and regional representatives on the Board, specified by the USSSF By-Laws, which will ensure that the USSSF is truly an organization that is National in its' representative scope. This weekend, significant progress was made in forming the Executive Committee, behind which the other parts of the Chartering process should fall rapidly into place. One thing was certain; I had no intention of putting to work all of the volunteers who have so kindly offered their skills and time, until I was absolutely certain that I, myself, would be going forward with this project. It appears that I AM going forward, so volunteers... expect to hear from me soon.

GBJ, common man, give us a little something, a tidbit a scrap, just a hint, a sneak peak, a preview, how bout a little inkling or something, are there gonna be numbers? cause i want a low one, a founding member, 1st year limited edition sticker and t-shirt. and the t-shirt better look cool. am i asking too much? i hope not. oh yeah, and a official stance and ruling on f*&^%ng cones. please, please, pleeeeeaaaaassssseeee! anything i could do to help let me know.
if we need to raise funds i could e-bay auction the snap-on ratchet driver that put the bleachers together at La Costa (certified and signed for authentication, i'll get arab to sign it). although, i don't know if i am serious about that because i find that kind of thing personally disgusting (you know how people will sell trash found where somebody famous once pissed or something). especially the antiquers that find some skateboard and figure it is worth $1000 and it ain't, it's an old grentec or something. oh well, i forgot where i was going with this anyway. see ya, George KHRT

Looks Like I missed some CD action over the weekend! Hey Alan I'm sorry the it's caused you such grief! I think it's possible to put track id's without actual breaks (commercially available mix cds have track location), but you need to be careful; sometimes it will give little hiccups that are annoying/distracting when youre 'into it'... anyway its great that you've done em, I'm sure people will forgive the lack of 'tracks'. No doubt KH's will be happy to chip in for their copy to cover your well-appreciated time and outlay in producing this special edition. Can you email me the grafix so I can make my own KH edition? And hey, I realise deep house isnt everyones favourite skate music, but I hope y'all enjoy it. There'll be a 'Guaranteed Deep Volume 2' in the New Year.
