Danielle baby, only the very gnarliest girl skaters are on longboards! Make the conversion, longboards are a smooth soulfull ride, and the babes look hot riding them! The rough ride you are getting on your short board is from the ultra hard wheels, if you go to softer wheels the ride will smooth out. The length of the longboard makes them an even smoother ride. Be smooth and cool, go long!!

i haven't tried longboarding yet but i was thinkin about it....i've been skateboarding since i was 5 years-almost 6. right now i have a sanya cruz deck, black magic grip, swiss bones bearings, 56mm bullet wheels, shorty's silveradoes, dooks shock pads, and independent trucks....it doesn't ride the smoothest but it goes f*cking fast. Is there anything i can do to make it ride smoother?

Derrick I hate to tell you this but longboards are "Normal" to us, right guys?! You will need a 11 ply deck because of your wieght, otherwise it will flex too much. Look around, you will find the right one eventually. The right board always sends off cosmic vibes, and you know deep inside that board is right for you. Its sort of a religous experience! Crap, now I'm starting to sound like a Harikrishna! This is Louie saying, "Longer is better, long = power, longest is the bestest! Later Dudes!

Longboard downhilling is a rush, it clears your mind of everyday life. Just find a nice hill, with not alot of traffic, I prefer a road thats wide. Jump on and let that smooth momentum take you for a ride. Carve the hill to death.

Hi
Although I ride a tiny little slalom skate, I've enjoyed your page. If you wanna see some swiss longboards and slalom skates take a peek at: Radical Sports (www.radical-sports.com)

Longboarders will rule the Earth. Duckboy, be innovative, don't rely on someone else for ideas. This is a good longboarding resource, but we need more, we need to organize, we need... a longboarder for President!

I've skated on & off for the last 20 years, but it wasn't until I visited California in 96 that I tried riding longboards and now I'm hooked. They're so mellow to ride I've used them to cruise to the office in the summer (all 3 days of it here in London). I've got a 4 foot Sector 9 pintail and a 5 foot Roadboard which flexs so much it bottoms out! Good to see some more people over here riding longboards these days.
