Why not spend that money Eric, You are a pro at beginner slalom.
And who voted you the official horn tooter for guys and products who can talk for themselves. Does it make you a better person to brag about other's successes? Are you trying to live in their shoes? Is that what makes you a REAL man? Like guys who have to brag about how many chicks their buds have- not them. Are you their alter ego?
I want to see evidence of the name ERIC GROFF named in a first place spot sometime in the past 20 years against a group of PRO's. I have one- all I ask is to see ONE from you. Not that you have beat all of them once- you tried that one- Hard cold PRINT evidence of a Groff WIN.

Steve-Who are you? Since you want to talk bearings on the truck forum let me help you, here is a free clue on the 30 day trial plan for the clueless
Duane Peters(I need not say a thing about DP) Brian Patch(top 10 Vert skater for the last 10 yrs) Rune Glifberg(2001 World Vert Champion, 2nd Pl 2001 Euro Championships, 1st Pl 2002 Euro Championships, 3rd pl 2002 World Championships and just won the Soul Bowl event in the UK taking down Steve Cab and a host of other big gun vert skaters) Chicken(2003 Slalom World Champ) Benji Galloway(Current Vert Hero) Jesse Martinez(Z-Boy Extroidinare, Dont f#@! with Venice) Steve Olson(1978 Skateboarder of the year, Greatest Bank Slalom Racer ever, winner of the first Hester series Pro Skateboard pool competition 1978 and has won the KONA Bank Slalom the last 2yrs) Dave Hackett(The Bear Champ 2002 and Legendary Vert Myster) Richy Carrasco(Guiness Book of World Records holder for 360's) Sergie Ventura(Long time Vert Hero) all ride OUSTS
In the Short time that OUSTS have been around they have won a s#@!load of contests and titles. What kind of bearings do you ride Steve? and what is their competition performance in the time that Oust have been around?
How come nobody can answer my questions?
Mccree-Radikal titles? TK-Who are all the pros that are gonna take me down at DA Farm, and sorry I wouldnt waste my money to race a bunch of begineers. Steve-Your bearings titles?

Arab, you are confused.
I was at Elsinor. I was at Breck(remember I qualified right behind you on sunday) Also remember Kenny won that day-- on a RADIKAL.
It's just a reminder- I'm not blowing any horns. FYI- remember Hollien Spanked Dunn---On RADIKALS that day.
I like INDY's, I rode them for years along side mine. The problem is YOU.
As far as history goes, check out THRASHER dec '89. RADIKALS took 1st and 2nd. You were not there. However, Dunn, Smith, Bostick ,Denike,Roskopp, and Norton were. Are they pro's?
Then check out THRASHER dec. '90 Again you were not there but Levine,Dunn, Sherman, Hester, Roskopp, and Denike were. I guess those are not pro's either. I did take 5th and Hollien took 3rd. On RADIKALS
Those TWO races were the only published slalom races from '79 to the late '90's. Where were you?
I am sick and tired of the same old canned rhetoric from you. We are a peacefull bunch having fun. You are on some Zealous head trip with a program that constantly is supported by your affiliation with a group. Poll all those buds of yours and see who wants to join the ARAB league of slalom racers. You are ALONE in your own sea of BS. Swim to shore and join the rest of civilization. You COULD be a class act- Find some.

This Arab character takes his s#@! too seriously. Y'all have got a lot of patience with him. If any three of you were to vote his posts "abusive," they'd disappear. You all show remarkable restraint!
And now, I stoop to his level, turning his hate back around on him.
Arab, sir, you claim that your bearings, Ousts, have revolutionary new technology which make them better than anything. Entirely redesigned bearings! That's very impressive, but how many races have they won compared to regular ol' rollerskate skateboard bearings? To use your reasoning, rollerskate skateboard bearings are the winningest bearings in history. Your new technology ain't s#@!! From the birth of skating, to Del Mar, to today's X-Games, non-Oust bearings have DOMINATED the field! All Ousts have won a few piddling slalom competitions! s#@!, no REAL skateboard pros were there at all. Where were the Hawks, Cabs, Burnquists, Kostons, Mullens... Therefore, your races aren't REAL skateboard contests. When Ousts win some REAL contests, with REAL pros, come talk to me.
No disrespect to Ousts, slalom, or slalom pros who aren't internet dick heads.

Hab,Race day excuses? C'mon, youre above that. You should be able to mop me up on your worst day, even worse than that black toenail you had last year. I am a least coaster, I ride polished turd trucks AND I have been slaloming 3 years to your 30. I still know you wouldnt make the top 4 in the gs or the ts. I would even withdraw from the race and give you my spot. C'mon, Tway would love to see you. Prove me wrong. The only thing holding you back is fear.

I've beaten him plenty, you?, TK you came to california and raced against me at JPL when I shouldnt have even gotten out of bed that day, I could barely walk up that hill and skating was not much better, so dont think you are all that friend. and who else will be at the little begineer race of yours that can take me down?

Rab, just like in the big races out west, you would'nt even make the top 4 at Da Farm. You would probably have a shot at winning the B class though. Regardless of this fact we would still treat you with respect and made sure you were having a good time. We treat everyone the same whether you're a Kenny Mollica or an Eric Groff. And John Gilmour, he is a PRO. He took the time to teach myself and many others the fun of Slalom Racing. HE never asked where I was from or who my friends were or what team I was on or even what trucks I rode. He showed us what fast looked like and got us racing. And now all us guys are buying Pocket Pistols(ask Chicken how many he sells on the east coast and even Canada)3dm Wheels, Turner, Roes, Trucks Ect.See how that works. Anyway, good to see you back, TK

Mark-Please inform the masses of the success of the Radikal truck over the last 25 years you claim to have raced them, include all the world championships, who was there, series championships, who was there, pro events were there was more then say 2 or 3 actual pro contenders.
All I have seen personally of Radikals is a broken truck at its debut race in Breckenridge.
I only speak for myself, but I think I speak for all the top racers when I say, where were you at Elsinore? the debut of the Wadikal boyz?, Where were you guys in Breck?, Where were you guys at Kona?, Where were you guys at Paso Robles?
Maybe you and those other big gun pro south floridians, can race each other on that over pass you call a hill and claim a win, heck since all 3 of you will be riding them, thats a gimme.
TK-I'm no sand bagger so I wont be attending Da farm, as will the other top 20 Pros in the world, The farm is a great little thing for begineers, I think it is a great thing that you and Tway do to help bring those that arnt really worthy of competing on a pro level, it gives them a place to feel like the real thing. I think you and Tway should be very proud of your efforts to further slalom along to the newbies, you have to start somewhere and Da Farm is the Big Banana for those little fish in the big pond. I think one day it could turn into a Pro Caliber event if any of the top racers show up. When that happens I'll be there.
oh and Mark, as for the SSS boys that ride 40 year old technology, I think if you want to total the points from races where us and the wadikal boyz have competed against each other we are well ahead of you wad guys, we are living in the past but yet we are so far ahead of you, why?

Your right TK. Unless sanctioned by ARAB RACING, it's not a race.
Since Eric has proclaimed himself "John the Baptist" of the slalom scene, no event can be justified unless he and his buddies are there. (he does have buddies-right?)He does speak for all of the SSS boys right?
I'm cancelling the plane tickets. I guess we can only go to the "worlds". I KNOW ARAB will be there so it must be a REAL race.
I will also have to call off my production partner and give him the bad news that only A.R.A.B.R. is the official sancioning group of slalom skateboarding. That reminds me, I need to call Don and tell him the bad news.
Well Maybe I can dust off my tennis racket and get back on the courts. Anyone for golf?

Tway, we should just cancel the Farm race. The location is all wrong. Your town is too small and there won't be any real pros there, except mabey Gilmour and he probably wont even come. The results won't matter either since no one good will be there to show us what fast is. I guess we can have a fun day and a cookout. We could tell some stories about going all the way across america to race with our friends, how cool was that. Anyway, sorry to bum you out but I just dont think its worth it. TK

Good to see ya back Eric. I missed your classless observations. I figured I would flush ya out with that one.
Question, do you have that response saved somewhere so you don't have to keep typing it??
Also, this is not about PVD's, Radikals, or Indy's. This is about blind chearleading on a field where no one cares. Keep cheering ARAB. Can you spell Zealot?
Also, a real pro has class- take my advise, look some up.

Michael Dong beat Ritchie Carrasco at Brands Hatch, Dong was on PVDS.
Formula 1 race track, tight spacing, steep hill. Described by Ritchie as one of the best hills if not the best he'd raced on.
Sure, not a whole lot of American "pro" racers in attendance, but the PVDS proved they could keep up with a regular top placing FCR racer.
Why are you soooooooooooooo negative?????

I have to agree that cast chunks of metal held together with elastic chunks of pliable chem based material and pivoting in raw holes lined with the same material have been the winningest trucks in history.
At one time, wooden spoked wheels surronded by solid rubber applied with nails was the winningest in the history of automobile racing AT INDY.
It is amazing how time and creative minds change things. Can you immagine what it must have sounded like when the first tubed rubber tire on a metal rim was intriduced? I wonder if ther was an ARAB then. "wooden spoked wheels on cross leaf springs is and will always be the winningest combination at INDY" . Boy,was that guy wrong.

Race Course Preference

Arab,
ANY COURSE, ANYWHERE is great. As long as the surface is rideable and the competitors are cool, then it's fun.
The difference, though, is between STANDARDS and PREFERENCES. What I prefer is one thing, what I'll travel several hundred or thousands of miles to ride is another matter entirely.
For some reason which is beyond me, you have inadvertantly interpreted my PREFERENCE as me imposing some sort of STANDARD. I've never said any such thing. I've traveled to races more than a day's ride from my house and spent all day so far out in the country they had to pipe in sunshine. It was a blast.
But I'd still like to see slalom racing on downtown streets surrounded by skyscrapers with thousands of spectators lining the race course. I wanted that last month and still want to participate in such an event today.
And be careful, Eric. I said "want," not "demand." Big difference.

I can fully appreciate why McCree is egging Peter as it is only just another form of smack-talk.
Nothing irritates me more than one carlina myopic skater with a bad case of foot rot and probably hasn`t skated yet this year (excuses, excuses) seems to feel he has the right to decide what others should say or not. Talk about a non-racer skating his keyboard more then anybody else, sheesh, go out and drop in a halfer or some round wall dudette.
I`m buying some Radikals because I LIKE THE WAY THEY RIDE, not because Mark supports slalom buying fully paying for his team costs.
Talk is cheap, get out and skate....

Its not so much as your result as it is who you raced to get those results.

Hey Wes-Speaking of standerds, does the St Lois event meet your standards for a racing venue?
