i just wanted to say that i think your site is fantastic. i did'nt know so many, what you call "old schoolers" still exsist. i use to ride back in the 70's and early 80's and had thought that the days of logan earth ski, oj's, sims, road riders hobie and long boards were only remembered by those that use to ride. I still have a logan earth ski board w benett trucks and was looking on ebay for some roadrider 4s to accomedate it, i noticed how many other vintage riders were out there. never the less in the 70's i had so many boards i could'nt even count them. now i just wanted to have my vintage board to hang on the wall to look at. the more i searched the more i realized that this has not died. i probabley won't be doing any more pipe riding but i would love to cruse the beach on another long board. back then a good 50"-60" multi-wood board with tracker, gull wing,or stroker (which were the most expensive and i could never afford) and roadrider 6's was considered one of the cadillacs to have. im still investigating whats good today, so far it sounds to me like a motherload deck, cherry bombers and i'm still trying to figure out the truck and if you still use spacers or not, any suggesting and if so were do i buy these from. i guess this makes me an old schooler too.

Hey C-man (nice tag...)
Shorties are ALL good...Try a 'Coleman' slide on yer long
board and check out where your feet end up... it's much easier
to do a coleman slide when you're feet are about shoulder-width
apart...it's really essential to be able to stop and that's what
the slide's all about...I've owned a long board and when I would
slide it, my feet were in about the same place as they are on my
shorty...last note...mid-eighties powell-peralta products rule!!!

I can`t say that i`m popular when i ride my board!
I`m the only kid that longboards in this area, and I get spitted on quite often!
I ride my longboard because I like cruising, downhill-riding and i like do do old-school skateboard tricks!

Next time a guy wants to spit on me, i gonna take my board and push it up his ass!
