F.Y.I.

The bans on both Terminal Velocity Streetboards and Kwiksplit have been lifted. You can find them on the links page.

Posts regarding Kwiksplit should be made in the TRUCKS forum, unless you are specifically speaking of its rollerblade wheels.

Hey DT, Right on!! Keep the site clean and true to the purpose. Hey, I often use explicitly foul language, but not in front of my mother, or anyone elses. I was there when punk was PUNK. I've been a part of the disenfranchised youth skateboard market, but maturity taught me something. Just because I have a "right" to act rude, doesn't mean I must do so. As a matter of fact, the less attention I attract to myself the easier my life becomes.

Yes policing the internet is bad, but this is not a public site that your tax dollars go toward. It is a private site that is free to the public. We at the NCDSA share common goals and wish to keep an old school influence. In general i have no problems with profanity, but children 12 and under often view this site. For this reason, excessive use of profanity is not tolerated. A past teacher of mine once told me that profanity shows a lack of knowledge of language. One can be much more descriptive by using more colorful words, and in some cases a curse word is the best choice, but not always.

Our Constituion is our User Agreement and the webmasters its enforcers, helpers, and friends.

Don't whine saying this somehow violates your RIGHTS, no one forces you to log onto this site. If you don't like that statement you can always create another site, but keep in mind that the problems that plague this site, plague all sites of this kind. It is nothing new.

Politcs suck! I feel if you have something bad to say, you have too much time on your hands and should be out skating.

Question for you flamers and haters
On 5/19/2000 Lover wrote in from (166.62.nnn.nnn)

What’s wrong with expressing your feelings?

What’s wrong with replying to a post concerning the topic?

I'm being as bad as you guys by responding to you guys, but still, lets be courteous and respect Lawless, at least Lawless responded to a post concerning with Trucks and not about someone else’s post. So people, back off of Lawless and continue with the discussion of trucks.

Thanks!

If you didn't know this:

Policing the Internet is Bad! It’s like violating our right to express ourselves....you didn't know that did you?

If you don't like a post, please ignore it....dont start flaming...

Sorry webmasters, i just had to express myself....please delete as you please...

DT,Just wanted to let you know you do a good job and think you more or less do a fair job of "censorship".One of the good things about this site is the lack of garbage.I'm not aware of a single posting by me that has been removed, but feel free to remove this one when the other three go Bu-bye.

you are not alone
On 5/19/2000 DT wrote in from (209.223.nnn.nnn)

No you are not alone, in fact there are alot of these posts. That is why there are two webmasters who spend a lot of time keeping this site true. It is this "censorship" or whatever you want to call it, that seperates our site from so many of the immature new school sites.

keep this in mind when this post as well as the two below magically disappear.

am i the only one who finds posts like this one anoying and infantile?? i mean its great that he has an opinion but common Lawless, tell us why you like siesmics, why your flexdex is no good and why you want a fibreflex so bad.. opinions are one thing but the reasoning behind ones decisions is the reason this thing is here, right?? So this is my rant for the month, now that it is over... ride hard mates..

I just put a downhill video on roots 'n ride website
(http://www.multimania.com/rootride).

It's a 2 years old film, featuring Eric Labarthe, one of
the French top-of-the-range freeriders. The spot is
Cauteret, in the French Pyrenees. It's old but very good,
actually.

The video is 59s long, mpeg coded (2.2 MB), and I believe
it's worth downloading it, even if it's not as stunning as
the full-screen version (which is really amazing).

If you think the video is ok, please feel free to add a
link. Skate safe.

My highest speed was 46.6 mph (without an aero helmet). My fellow Team TVS rider Gary Hardwick had the fastest speed at 51.1 mph, and he also won.

Hugh,

i wouldn't reccomend buying the comp 2's until you are ready to go over 60. the origional comp 1's are just fine.

Hey DT, your welcome, glad you got a chuckle out of it. By the way, congratulations on your weekend finish... What type of speeds were you guys hitting?

I am still trying to get back to my former level of downhill, but I still haven't gotten the nerve to break 30. I try to improve by a few miles an hour each week.

Have you ever tried the S-9 Cosmic crusier for bombing? I saw one yesterday and it looks real promising to me... see ya later, HR
