I'djust like to give a quick shout-out to two people who will probably be seeing the NCDSA forums for the first time this week:LET'S HAVE A BIG ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR my oldest (and MOST able) skate podnuhs:LADIES AND GEMMUN:THE INFAMOUS FLYIN"CLAYTON BROTHERS!!!!(oh,and BTW:they know the EXACT LOCATIONS of ALL the places I keep talking about;Doug and Chris were with me for MOST if not all of my 'first descent ventures"throughout the Spokane Area. Welcme to NCDSA,BOYZ! P.S.(To anyone who tries riding WITH these guys;DO NOT ATTEMPT THE LINES THEY DRAW THROUGH TURNS AS THEY ARE RUBBERMEN AND YOU WILL JUST EMBARRASS(and endanger)YOURSELF...Seriously these guys can RIDE FOR REAL..Just hang back and learn before you go ascrazy as they do..Example: once they did a catamaran (on freshly paved Grand AVE)...Suffice to say they topped out about 40,then promptly threw a 90 degree turn onto a side street and SLID IT TO A STOP..(the only thing injured was the sanity of the witnesses).THEY QUALIFY.....WINSTON

Jon,
Thanks for the help... I never ended up having to call... they came through on a commitment that was made to my youngest son (One of their riders had promised him a catalog and a bunch of stickers). So S9 gets an HR thumbs up on customer service... HR

Hey Alex, Is that Quebec City? I live on the west island of Montreal. It's great to here from someone around here who actually enjoys riding longboards. The few people I've met who own one don't seem to stoked about it. To them, it may as well be a hacker bike they ride to the beer store. They're just posing. But that's okay, posing helps educate the public, in a funny sort of way. Salute, Alex
Paul

never knew there were so many. Here in holland skateboarding is bleeding to death. in my hometown there only 5 skateboarders left on a population of 40.000. Longboarding doesn't live here. Some skaters know what it is. When i see longboarders in Amsterdam i know there tourists. I use my longboard as a means of getting about instead of the everpopular bike, or those infernal skates
props to your longboard. may you glide on the smoothest asfalt there is.

Yeah, those old Kryptos, nothing, NOTHING, has ever been that smooth since,no core, 78a urithane very mushy,i think one of the reasons they felt so fast in moderatly stressed situations was that they weren't even hard enough to sideload the bearings, so they spun nice, unfortunately they also let the bearings tear out.

Hi. I got my first skateboard when I was 6, in 1976. I have always been into basic cruising, as opposed to tricks. My prized possesions are my original 70mm Kryptonics or Big Red Tomatoes. I believe they are still one of the fastest wheels made, even though mine are now over 20 years old. Longboarding is almost non-existent in the UK and I only became aware of it by chance. I am so glad that the old style is back. I would like to e-mail any US longboarders.
Cheers
Toby in London UK

dude i love this web site i just started street surfing about two months ago and the techniques link was really helpfull but you need to show pictures of tricks being done. like in skate magazines. That would help me get the visual of what im supposed to do and what it's suposed to look like. Also i was wonderin where/if i could get some ncdsa stickers or a tee shirt or somethin.I would wear it with pride as the paramedics scape my carcass after being pelted at 40 mph off the road. Hell Ill een let them bury me in it. so wadda ya say?
