Is there any way to integrate them into a "history book" for future users to tap into? In August 2009 we will, at long last, be abandoning our homegrown forum software in favor of a modern, commercially produced alternative. Legacy content from the past 13 years is being ported into the new system as I compose this post. The feature set of the new forum software is truly awesome, to say nothing of the vast repository of server-side plug-ins that we'll be adding in the months following its debut to support mobile devices, etc. One major change in Ncdsa 2.0 concerns user registration. Users will be required to register and verify their registrations with a valid email address before being allowed to post. I will make every attempt to prevent screen name poaching and squatting to prevent your longtime Ncdsa screen name from being appropriated by someone other than you. If this does occur please contact me via email asap. Heavily customized functions like the existing Contest Calendar and the Cyber Slalom Challenge will be served from the original server and made available via links on the new system's menus. Oh.. Did I forget to mention the new server? We recently purchased a screaming fast HP 2U rackmount server with a blazing RAID array of six 15K RPM Ultra 320 drives. Combined with the faster performance of the new MySQL database, Ncdsa 2.0 has the potential to offer sub-second page refresh times.     Rate post 321384 ! Sorry for the extended downtime today. Our server locked up and remote power cycle was not working.
