Uh?, Vintage Guy, I was just posting something I saw on another forum about BDS in regards to what somebody else posted here, whats with the attack? I'm not 13, I'm 50, maybe you could post some photos of you skating if you even skate, nice collection, do you ride any of them or just look at them?

My name is Kevin Jordan and yours?

childish comments... Its not a romper room page. Please
forgive me.. He changes his name, Kevin, Geo, Todd...
Real brave fellow skater we have on our hands.. Again
I apologize to all, its not being invaded by wet pants children..
Mostly just Kevin or Geo or Todd or whatever his next name is..
And our child from New Zeland :---)

BDS not about skateboarding
On 3/12/2009 Vintage Man wrote in from United States  (199.67.nnn.nnn)

Kevin Kevin Kevin...
Your quote sounds like it came from the
mouth of a jealous, pants are wet, never paid a bill in
his life without asking mom or dad for the money 13 yr old..
ITS SKATEBOARD ART!!! Lets be very clear... Its collected by fellow
collectors who could kick your axx and mine on the concrete wave. Its
made by fellow skaters. Its just fun stuff. Its not harmful to the
environment or toxic waste. Yes its made to go on the wall. Its a
journey by fellow skaters who collect. I am not into it either, but
its beautiful stuff!!
I got a bright idea. Next time post something fun and useful
like picture of you ripping the sidewalk, a friend ripping the concrete wave,
a story you have, picture of your collection or your board!!
This Vintage Gear page is becoming a romper room page.
Bunch of wet diaper/pampers pant babies whining about anything and nothing!!
We need a fresh fish, rookie, beginnng skater page for these guys!!
Webmaster make one up...
Keep on keeping on

I read this on another forum about BDS

"The brand that isnt about skating, just hanging, on the wall or from his nuts....."

I dont get the whole BDS thing myself, I think Wes could save alot of money if he didnt even bother making skateboards, he should just print his stuff on plywood since its just goning to get hung on a wall anyways.

#7 just change out the words to a BDS Car Paint deck!!
Enjoy and cheers to all..
---------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------
TOP TEN REASONS YA KNOW YOU HAVE TOO MANY FRICKN' SKATEBOARDS:

10. Your wife brings home friends and you start giving them a tour of your collection!

9. You hear a big bang in the night & your first concern is that one of your CAR PAINTS fell off the wall & got scratched (TRUE STORY).

8. You hear a scream, then a big bang & your first question is "I hope the Car Paint hit the cat before it hit the ground to soften the blow"!

7. Your in debt up to your ears, but ya still bid on that ALVA Mondo on EGAY!

6. Your friends visits your house & finds his first deck he rode back in the day!

5. You won't make the bed, clean the dishes or sweep the floor ... yet you will dust off your decks so theuy maintain that brilliant shine.

4. You can't remember what room you keep your K-BEAMS.

3. Your office and garage full of BDS Boxes & you complain that your wife doesn't clean the refridgerator.

2. All your friends on line have tatoos & skulls for images.

1. You can stay at home on a Saturday night, smoke a cigar, drink a beer & stare at your glorious collection of WOOD!

BDS Car paint

David,
Those BDS decks are certainly nice. They've surpast my price range for sure. I can not afford the $300 price for the limited run decks. I can only admire those who have 'em. I'm really fond of that formica bottom Biniak that Wes put out a while back. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Car Paint or something for their new designs.. Not sure
if would call it Vintage Gear, or vintage style art :----).
Its being done by Vintage Guys!! :---)
FYI and enjoyment. Cheers David

DTS and The Sims

CRESS5 post that picture again so people
know I am not crazy.... I thought it looked pretty cool!!
Others might like it!!
HERBIN, I have found that many NOS are found via old skate shop
back rooms now bike shops or over seas in old shops that closed
up, or been sitting in a former workers garage in a box the past
30 yrs.. THats how I got that turner, want me to post again NOT!! :--)
On the other selling site and some are up for sale now, are some
1978-ish Santa Cruz decks!! MINTY MINT...Guy I think got em from
a friend who had sitting in a garage or something like that. He got
10 or so various color santa cruz classic woods and fiberglass!! (?)
Amazing how awesome they look!!
Mid last year there were approx 50 bennett pros found and put up on
ebay for a couple months, a guy had a friend who owned a bike shop that
had been a bike and skate shop back in the day,
and guess finally looked in a box. Called his pal and said, take em!!
Did not have the base plates, nor the axle nuts...
I got a set and man, almost brought a tear to my eye :--) Was beyond
amazing how perfect and new everything was including the bushings!...
Then some past pro skater put up Bennett Nuts and Spacer knock offs but
look and fit perfect for $9.99 a set... Lordy, made a fine profit...
I tried the same with ACS kingpins, I sold 5 :-----) Same ole same ole for me! Well I am sure you all have similar and better stories..
At work and it sucks to be in the investment biz so came back in time to this site to relax for a moment!! Cheers and it will get better!!!!!!!!

that unreal collection of DTS boards, the ONE board that's missing as far as i can see, is the one that i had back in the day ,10 ply muir with the in from the edge wheel wells.Well actually ,there were the maple fiberlams and i think there were 10 ply bigfoots too. Crazy collection,it's odd that stuff like that stays new i'm sure they all have a story.

Cress5 Sims
On 3/3/2009 Crees5 wrote in from United Kingdom  (199.229.nnn.nnn)

I previously posted the stretched Sims elsewhere. It was blatently a joke ( Although some people took it seriously).
You weren't mistaken, I accidently posted that image (Lets be clear, not a 44 Toft, it was a cheap photoshop joke). So I quickly changed it to the correct image which is.... NOT AN ORGINAL SIMS AD. but the original ad. with skates from my collection dropped in.

Hope this clears things up.

God as my witness, on my screen the sims
was perfectly stretched out, 44 inch looking,
perfect balance to me, and the other two decks were
not on it!!!!!!!!!! I cannot explain the cyberspace
mix up... Guess its a Loch Ness, Big Foot, UFO situation
where I looked nuts, and the facts are suspect... But I
did see a Sims that was incredibly long prior to my typing the first post!
Vintage Man going nuts I guess..

to my dear friend jonathan
On 3/1/2009 oldskoolrulz wrote in from United States  (68.52.nnn.nnn)

you seem to have an agenda here and i'm trying hard to figure out what that is, but first and formost the skateboards you see in my pictures are NOT what kids these days ride, they would probably laugh me out of the park if i tried to give one to them to actually ride! so that is a fairly ignorant statement you made if you ask me...

for a little more background about myself, i owned/operated a skateshop and park from 2003 to 2007, wasn't in it for the money (cause believe me there was none to be made) but was trying to give back to my local community and enjoy my passion at the same time. did i give tons of skateboards away? no i didn't but there was many times a kid would come in and need a new deck, wheels, bearings etc. and wouldn't have enough cash for the item, a lot of times i hooked a kid up for my cost if not a little less especially if he was a good kid. other times i would let kids clean up the shop or park and then would just give him whatever he was needing, that was a way to teach a kid that nothing in life is free but if you work a little bit then things would come your way. i guess you are one of those kids that think they deserve something for nothing? good luck in life, you're gonna need it...

thanks again to the guys on here that understand and appreciate what my vintage collection is all about, i did not post this stuff to brag or boast, simply to share the stoke...

Little Johnny is back
On 3/1/2009 Vintage Man wrote in from United States  (66.245.nnn.nnn)

Johnny,
As a former VOLUNTEER high school wrestling Coach, I talk to you.
First you do realize that this is a Vintage Collector site right?
We collect. Be it known many of us have volunteered our time in many
ways, support families with 12 hours of work each day in our careers,
have left many many many skateboards at skateparks for the kids to ride.
I have done all of the above and I am far from alone on this site.
My words of wisdom follow: You need to spend your energy on yourself. I am
not sure the wasteful time of your hostile writings. Maybe its jealousy,
maybe its your own personal lack of goals and accomplishments. Volunteer
your own time at a local food give away bank. Buy skateboards yourself and
give them away for your own satisfaction. Do a peace corp stint. Some final
words I take from others. The first one is if you are not a teenager as I thought you were: If at age 50 your think and act as you did at age 25, you just wasted 25 years of your life! Mumumad Ali This one is on my office wall;
Things may come to those who wait, but only those things left by those who hustle! Abe Lincoln. Now go acomplish your own goals and personal success. Coach

I know you all are talking completes...
But, my favorite in that slew of pictures were
the Bennett Pros with the minty looking Alligators!!
Its beyond me why I like those so much. Color was cool
but no printing or etching or raised lettering on em..
Yet for some reason I love em... Probably cause I will
never own a set :-----) Thats got to be it.. Thanks
ncdsa.com psychology 1A department... Ya figured it out as I typed!!
Yes, I have 4 sets of the Re-Issue Bennett Alligator Greens in
different sizes, thanks in advance for the idea!!
I think the reissue bennett green gators are fantastic for
cruising and salom style...
Did get some pretty cool Blue Kryps 2nd series with kryp bearings...
Close but no cigar as they used to say :----) Enjoy their arrival picture!!!
