Adam, Thank You for the gracious response. Most would not be so honest. So, I'm cool with it all. I've got another, um, two weeks left here in Vermont, before I cross the river into N.H.. After that, I'd like to ask you a favor, concerning Freecarve..
I want to thank Adam for letting me post my ideas on his website (same appreciation goes for NCDSA, Bomberonline, Catek, ISSA, USASA, etc.) all these years. I hope my temperment hasn't deterred people from getting into these very cool sports of snowboarding and skateboarding. That would be the obverse of my intentions, to say the least. Having had the oppurtunity to express my ideas to the world-at-large, I'm pleased to find that some have been explored by others with positive results. That's progression, and that's been my ambition since I was 'only a lad'..

Hi PSR, Thanks for the reminder that I forgot to renew my domain registration for Freecarve.com. I just renewed it so the site should be coming back online in the next 24h or so. Sorry for the scare.

Hey.,So I query the webworld, and find that I, everything I've imparted as 'pass-it-on' knowledge of my 40 years of skateboarding, and 33 years of snowboarding, have been overwritten. That SUCKS!!!! I've given my LIFE'S worth of observations on the condition of INFORMATION TRANSFER to the NEXT GEN. of boardsports, and I'm pushed off to the dustbin?! WTF!!!! I've got 2 Snowboard OLYMPIANS who owe a good part of their success to my coaching, nevermind coaching the various skaters on the East Coast in Luge, Slalom and Downhill on skateboard (do the names Schwippert, CMC, Shaggy, Karl F., Dan Pulling, Marc Dean, ring any bells?), so what gives here? Is this just an oversight due to time-has-past, or something worse? The future belongs to those that can gain from History. Diminish what came before, and then Believe what the Kardashian tribe says. No carving, no style, no sense of why... THE FUTURE will rule, albeit, without guidance...

TJ: I think I still have a minty set of Orange PF-3's in a ziplock baggie somewhere in my garage. Maybe they're under the Ty Page or the Fusion slalom deck, eh?
For those of you who can't believe their eyes, yes, the AZ Supra Man is still here. I'll be moving much of my collection pretty soon, but I'll keep the details on the BST forum.
Hope everyone is well (PSR, Norski, Dave & the rest).

I have a Weber Woody that's a layer of oak then mahogany and then oak again. It has California Slalom trucks (needs new bushings) and Simms Pure Juice wheels. I refinished it several years back and screwed up as the decal on the bottom got removed. I was probably 13 when I bought it, I think I spent a total of 54 bucks on it.

I am this old guy who recently rediscovered my board from the 1970's. I have a G&S Stacy Peralta Warp two that I've had since I got it used in what 1976? My sister almost threw it out but I saved it from my mother's trash. I am wondering how much it is worth. There is someone locally looking for old boards and it seems my kids have no interest in skateboarding. It is original but well used with soom damage to the tail

Hi, The first ever skateboard that i can remember that was made in the uk was the skuda. It had a long thin yellow deck and red wheels. As boys we were making our own from plywood and your sisters roller skate wheels. thought it was great when i first got a skuda and was the envy of all my mates. ( rubbish board, but it was a proper skateboard. if you know what i mean.) I couldn't believe my luck when i found one of these at a local auction. Exactly the same as i had in the 70's and it had never been used. needless to say i bought it. argh those boyhood memories.

Yes, my dad, Ralph Giffin, jr built and designed Compass skate boards out of our Encinitas basement in the seventies. My dad invented invented the shock mounts that go under trucks. The non-skid deck on the board was molded from the acrylic covering from flourescent lights.
