These wheels are the shit, they are off road/on road, wheels with tred and all. i think they are 90mm they rock, you can go over rock, grass water, street, everything a normal skateboard cannot, try it, you'll like it

70 Kryps vs. 65 Gravity Super G's

I got the Super G's first. Their large inner spoked wheel keeps them light so pushing and keeping speed on flat is easy although they do get noisy even with freshly lubed bearings. They are 78a so they grip nicely. If you like sliding, these wheels take some effort (probably because the corner of the wheel is so sharp).
I got the Kryps next. I thought that their being 70mm would mean longer rolling time on flat but they tend to slow down faster than the super g's. Probably because they don't have the fat hub the g's have so they got more weight. They are good on hills though, super sticky. And the hub is more centered now making for more even wear.
Good stuff.

Since I got the exkate trucks I thought I would get the wheels to go with them. They work good for carving and sliding and that's what u want right? So what about the glo u ask? I thought it was just a gimmick but these really do glo, for real. They need some charging before a night ride and then your set. The sun works the best for that. These wheels are a good all aroung wheel.

Hyper Double-Diamont 72 mm 78A wheels are great for carving. If you really force yourself down, they slide, but you need a lot power to do it.! They also feel softer (when warmed by cruising) than they are (78A).

S9 is a manufacturer of skateboard decks, they don't pour
urethane. Their 70mm wheels have been made by Kryptonics
for years. Problem with the wheel is that it is a rollerskate
wheel (thus the hub on the side). The urethane is the same
as Krypts new wheel (nice call phil). tz, either you were
comparing the old Kryptos, (opaque) or you need to check your
bearings before you sell a perfectly good set of wheels.
Rumor has it, a true 70mm skateboard wheel with a center hub
will be relased by S9 soon. Looks to be a great wheel.

Regards to any comparison with Sector 9's and Kryptos. I've owned them both and sold the Sector 9's after two days. They're slow as hell. No sustain compared to Kryptos.

Phil,
What do you expect? One of them to be square? There's only so much innovation you can put into a skateboard wheel.
If I remember correctly, the main difference between the two is that the S9's hub is more centered that the Kryps, which is flush with the inner edge. The changes the effective with if the wheelbase, and makes the wheel un-reversable.

This is a great wheel. It rides excelent and it grips like crazy but they wear down kinda quik and chunks start to fall off after a while. Probably because they're so soft does anyone know the hardness? I guess about 70a. oh and who knows of a good wheel for speed boarding, because i may try out for x-games speed boarding and need a good wheel

Bones Bombers vs. Sector 9s vs. Kryptonics

Bones Bombers are hard. 85 durometer makes them super easy to slide on but a bitch to carve with. These are great wheels to learn how to coleman slide on but don't work to well if you're trying to carve the run. If you're just bombing the run these are great.
Sector 9's are my favorite out of these three. I don't know the exact name, they're not 9balls, but they're clear red. These wheels are little bit harder than kryptonics but much softer than Bones. They let you carve AND slide, which is why I like them so much.
Kryptonics are incredible for carving. If you don't want to slide and you want to carve hard buy a set now! I started skating with these wheels, so I'll always have a complete set up with them, they're personal favorites.

These are by far the best wheels I've ever ridden. I have them on a gravity 46 inch hyper carve. Super fast great traction, mag construction works great. Please Email me info about this company I have searched web with no luck. I bought them on vacation in CA don't know where they're made. Thanx

Black Super G's are big, soft, and fast. They have the perfect balance between traction and speed. The large size (73mm) makes them them fast and almost immune to sticks and stones. They arean 80 A durometer, but Gravity also has clear Super G's wich are 78 A for more taction, and white Super G's which are 90 A for you speed demons. No matter wich ones you choose, you'll be stoked

Just get 'em. Bright Blue. Well soft. Running on Powell Swiss bearings. V.fast V.smooth difficult to slide (practically impossible with the exkates, hard with the randalls)
Feel softer that my route 62 and 76mm blanks from SOH, but that could be becayse the core is smaller (so more urethane?)
Overall a bloody good wheel. Cant wait for my Sector 9 supercruiser to appear (any day now!!!!)

Opaque orange urethane with an almost Kryptonic-like bounciness. The design is symmetrical from the centerline, meaning you can cone out the inside edge and then simply flip them inside out to even out the wear pattern. Being negatively offset they do decrease the track a bit, but it didn't seem to bother the ride with Seismic 146s. So how do they ride? Excellent! I usually ride 78A wheels and thought these would be rock-hard and harsh, but they turned out to be fine, even on less than pristine surfaces. No, they don't have the tenacious grip of a Kryptonic or 78A Hyper wheel, but they stick hard enough to provide a predictable ride. Their best feature, however, is their ability to slide. Huge, easily controlled slides are easy with these wheels. A five foot slide on a 70mm Kryptonic would translate into a 15 foot slide on Bones Bombers. Hoo hooo!

Not that I have anything against the wheels BUT they are not as fast as some of the posts make out, we tested them against 7omm Kryps and they were not as fast , they also loss speed when cornering a lot more. I think it is to due with the width of the wheels. Over a rough surface they would of course be faster and this is what they are made for (The grips in the other Xtreme wheels does sod all really). So by all means use them as an ideal off road wheel but they are not as fast on a good road as people sem to be making out .. this isn't just thoery .. we tested them !

exkate makes some luge wheels that are 82mm and 76a (for a whopping $60). But for speed, I would recommend the xtreem super/slicks, they are 99mm (very soft) and cost only $65 with bearings.
