What happened to Kevin Harris? I checked out the Reverse Freestyle website and he's gone! Did Lynn give em' the boot? Did he quit? Is there something wrong with there server? Someone fill me in on the situation, because I'd like to know what happened to one of my favorite skaters.

P.S.: I won't be skating for a while cause some surgeon did some piercing in my left leg's bones...

How are ya , man?
I remember seeing your MSN web pages showing your skating back in Canada. You looked pretty busy.
-Regarding 'skateboard demonstrations' - back then.....
I think it was cool that my brothers and I could be skateboarding, and have the public be able to see [-teams ] of our guys and gals ripping it up - doing skateboard demonstrations - [-also malls, churches, school gyms, boat shows, etc. ] It's as if WE WERE BRINGING IT - TO THEM - DAILY !
- - - and of course riding those plexiglass vert/ramps on weekends...
AND the fact that we were getting paid to do this - ...absolutley RAD !
Even though THE PEPSI TEAM was our main job - my brothers David and Richy AND cousin Tim and I ..... did skate demo's for HOBIE, 360 SPORTSWEAR, SKYHOOKS HAWAII, RINCON, X-CALIBER, MELODYLAND HOTLINE CENTER,SANTANA SKATEBOARDS, -I hope I didn't forget any... - this was probably the BEST time I ever had !
Claude, Was there alot of that kind of action - happening OVER in Canada at the same time? Lots of DIFFERENT brands of SK8 teams/exhibitions/ramps - 1974 - 1981 ?
-just wondering.
BELOW: By the way, this was MY SECOND skateboard demo I ever did - 1975 - Nimitz Jr. High...for RINCON SKATEBOARDS/MELODYLAND HOTLINE CENTER.

Take care, Claude/CKnuck -

Rene! Yes that was in a shopping mall. It was a TV commerial in the spring of 87 for one of the local malls in Quebec.
Promenade De L'Outaouais. It was a lot of fun. The young kid skating with me in it was one of the Top young guys in the City at the time. Sean Stranks. He used to drop into my old Sk8city Sk8park in the mid 90's but I haven't seen him in years.
First pais Demo, Hm? Maybe, 1982 for Pepsi when they had those Fords they were giving away, EXP's or something like that. My 1st. ever Demo was actually in 79 or so in Toronto at a Summer School.
I also went to see Meatloaf open for ELO at the time. What a hoot!

2005 WC in Brazil

All is ready in Sao Paulo for the 2005 WC. Moichi from Japan, Lillis from Sweden, Yoyo, and Bernhard from Germany, and Joao Soares from Portugal have arrived at the contest site and are preparing for the World Championship.
No one from the USA that i know of was able to make it this time. This should be a well represented and well run event thanx to the FLIP crew of Brazil.
Locations being considered for the 2006 WC are the popular NASS event in the UK where this years Euro Championships hosted by the BFSN were a big success, or the ASR Show were the WFSA has had successful events before. With the hugh success of the Koston game of skate at this years September ASR Show the concept of having a major freestyle event there looks very promising...and accessable to a lot of freestylers that would be there anyway.
Some possible switch ups would be if the the UK hosts the WC next year the Euro would then need a new host and I would look into having the "Americas Cup" freestyle championship at the 2006 September ASR Show. I'm also working on developing an "Asia Cup" probably in South Korea in 2006
The WFSA now has a new "red carpet" style of forum up that is much like the NCDSA forums with forums for various areas of the world based on language. There are also slalom, Geezer and girl forums and a video contest with Sk8king prizes....well just check it out, register and throw us a post or two: www.wfsafreestyle.org/forum .
Mike Heller and I will be traveling up to the San Jose area for a freestyle event there this week end. We will be stopping off in San Luis Obispo Saturday morning for a short session and also at the new Scotts Valley skate park later in the afternoon.
Good luck to all at the WFSA/FLIP/GFSA 2005 WC in Sao Paulo Brazil.

Hi Brent,
Freestyle has been getting more and more popular again in the last 5 years. I have been skating for 30 yrs. now and am still very active. NCDSA offers lots of different forum for the 'non-mainstram' skateboarding activities; glad you found this place. We also have a special Freestyle forum, but it's down right now due to technical reasons. Check out this working link http://www.wfsafreestyle.org
I am also selling Freestyle stuff on my site, but as I am off to Brazil, the webshop is closed right now. http://www.yoyoskates.com Here is a special link to the shop, so that you can check out the goods http://www.yoyoskates.com//webshop/webshopindex.htm
