this guy dagoo likes to talk a lot of crap about freestyling. he sounds like a closet fag who is trying to come to terms with what he is. whats up with all the homo jokes gay boy? im a fat old man & i'll still kick your ass at skateboarding. unlike dagoo i have the balls to put my real name on my posts.were all skaters & we dont need to talk crap about other forms of skating. the rest of the world already hates us skaters. shut up & skate!!!!

Thanks,I'v been there before they had a concert and when I was walking toward the area a riot broke out and people were throwing trash cans in the street and yelling it got pretty Gnarly. Is that how it is all the time in that area? So anyways I was gonna wear a pair of chaps but I guess it might be to cold for those? If your gonna bring a radio can you bring lots of disco? I like bands like Village People,My Sharona,We are Devo and of course Sk8erboy! I also like to tape my fingers up,do you think it would be gay if I had all 10 of them taped. Dagoo

Hi everyone!
Many of you already know of the freestyle jam I'm putting together in NYC. As some of you know, it's been difficult to get a good location for the event. Though NYC has many great places to freestyle, the Parks Dept. can be a pain in the butt to deal with for anything skateboard related. My idea has always been to make the jam as visible as possible, but all the locations that would be ideal for their visibility, are busy with other events or are un-permitable for one reason or another. Regardless, even if we have to go without a permit, the jam will be happening on Saturday the 25th of October at one of two places, the Bandshell at Central Park or in Tompkins Square Park in the East Village. Both of these locations are easy to get to within Manhattan and I will provide exact info of how to find each one when a choice is made. I want to keep this jam as grass roots as possible this first time around, but I plan to be putting together a Pro-Am Freestyle event together for next summer, which should be a blowout. The jam will start around 11:00AM and go until about 5:00 or 6:00PM. That's it for the moment, I will be in touch soon or if you have questions in the meantime, you can contact me directly at (718)-349-7481 or on cell at (917)-679-1196....Thanks everyone!........Joe Humeres
P.S. If any of you plan on staying the night in New York, there will be two additional events happening that I will be checking out. Saturday night there is a party at the Greenpoint Bowl (a new private bowl, but you are all welcome) in Brooklyn and on Sunday, also in Brooklyn, at the KCDC Skateshop there will be a skateboard jam/BBQ to celebrate the release of Bodega Skateboards new video "Gotta Getta Clip". I will have additional info on both events at the Jam.....Joe.

HB SKATE JAM Awesome time at the park enjoying the sun and great company. Props to Mike Mullen -- who showed up in the late afternoon and was tearing it up -- and to the other newcomers Adam Bateham, MSK, Mike Schwartz, Steve Sanchez, and Thor. Great to see the new faces come out and skate with the Jam regulars -- Richy Carrasco, John Pope, Bob Staton, Nils . . . The Benner Clan and Per Welinder and family came out as well – what a treat!
Here’s a look at some of the crew in action . . .
Stay tuned for a link to a photo gallery on this event in the near future.
We’ll probably call another Jam for early December. If you aren’t on the mailing list and want to be -- send your addy to me at the above link. Cheers!

The freestyle jam went off today. I got there a bit too late, just in time for Per Welinder to take off. Richy and John Pope had the 360 sesh going on, spinning until, well, until my head was spinning. And thanks to Richy's and John's coaching (plus the use of Richy's steel wheels), I managed to break my 26 year old personal record of 16 360s. I thought I hit 20, but Richy says 17. Either way, I'm stoked! Hanging out with Richy doing freestyle is like being at the WLAC races- I learn more in a few hours than I did the previous couple of months. Can't wait for the next one...

Yeaaaaaaaaaaash! Per Wilander is going to try and make it-- He is a soccer fan and the biggest event of the year is going on.There should be a good mix of riders there, At the last one Economy showed up with some of his old longboards and had a blast! Pope is going to try and make it out! We usually have a good 360 session goin off!
