Orange Julius was spotted this morning at 7-11 nourishing himself on the finer things that establishment has to offer. Will he learn 2 new moves this week at the Rengstorf Park F-style event or will it be 3? Will HC show up and ride his new Primo deck? Will John the "iron chef" bring his yo-yo board and get with the program? Will Ravitch show? Will Taco bust some more crazy footwork? Will MaRo make the drive this week or will his Band be recording?
Rengstorf Park, Mtn View, CA 11AM this Sunday, be there.

Sgt.Holl (now known as " The Professor " ) Seen spinning 360's on steel wheels! Richie be afraid, Very afraid of your record, you are going down, well maybe not for a while. Ravitch spotted doing handstands and lots of rail combinations, and you thought the old man could only Slalom. Flatland in Nor Cal is on the rise. Come see John Kim }" The Iron Chef " ride his long board with the thickest tail and nosebone and even on two different trucks ( randall / Tracker combo ) Funny stuff. Sunday 11:00am Rengstoff park, Mountain View, CA.

Hey Lewis,
How's it going? Yeah, that would be cool to skate sometime. You never know, if for some reason I end up in Iowa I'll let you know. By the way, thanks for all that footage. It was rad.

A North Carolina freestyle session will take place this Sunday, March 21, for anyone interested.
Mike Foster, Frank Lee, John Sargent, and I are planning to meet at the Leesville Road Middle School and High School (Tommy Harward's local spot) around 11 a.m. or so to skate for the afternoon.
Anyone interested in driving there to skate is welcome. The school is at 8405 Leesville Road, N.C. Just look up directions on MapQuest.com or Expedia.com. We'll be skating on the smooth, concrete basketball courts you can see in some of Tommy's video footage. (Tommy, unfortunately, will not be joining us, however, as he will be leaving on his honeymoon that day.)
I know some of you guys like Chris Price have expressed an interest, so hopefully we'll have a few more there.
Frank Lee, John Sargent and I are confirmed, and Mike Foster sounded like he was seriously considering it. As an added enticement, I even mailed Mike a copy of some rare home movie footage of Rodney Mullen warming up for a contest in 1984 in Huntington Beach, CA. So hopefully he should get the footage today and be inspired to join us.
I'm planning to skate for the afternoon and then maybe getting some dinner. So if anyone can make it at anytime from 11 to 5 p.m., that should work out.
Terry

Does anyone here have any real interest in the SLO contest or am I just spinning my steelwheels?
Local interest is pretty good, but I'm hoping I can attract some of the crews from Edison and Rengstorff.
I have that 35 and over Open division for you retired and re entering x pros and legends like Gary Holl, Andre Walton, John Pope, Bobby, Mary Zerkie and others.
I'm out selling Axxess 2-for-1 Dinner/Golf/Entertainment coupon books to raise the $1200. I want to run the event and be able to pay per diem to the staff. I need product for prizes. I'm selling banner space for $50. I can have a booth or two for $25. each for the business license variance. I think Casper may take a booth.
Help me if you can with leads for sponsord etc. Thanx, Bob

Just an Old Dog doing Old Tricks... Opps I said the "T" word... I ment Old Moves.
I find it's always nice to have a live band to freestyle to. This was actually The Grind For Life Event for Mike Rogers in West Palm Beach Florida. That's Lynn Cooper videotaping in the background right. I liked his board set-up so much... I had to have one that day! The new Concrete wave DVD is coming out. Maybe I'll be in it... Yeah right... a legend in my own mind!

Freestyle on Fuel
Just checking the broadcast schedule for Surge on the Fuel Network -- their last season is re-airing and the Jammin Freestyle segment is slotted for March 12-13.
This is a segment I produced which includes footage I compiled from the last 5 years including -- The Dungeon aka SF Freestyle comp; Barrio Games LA; killer Jam sessions from all over Cali and even one in Switzerland from last year. Footage of Primo & Diane, Richy Carrasco, John Pope, Daryl Grogan, Lillis, YoYo and many more.
Check out the schedule at "Fuel.tv". If you have DirecTV (satellite) and the sports package you should get it. It's a pretty decent interactive website so you can check if you get Fuel right there on line. Since they are re-airing the season -- be on the look out for a segment on Richy "360 King" Carrasco and WLAC Racing Scene which is pretty cool as well.
Cheers!

Heyyy Rene C!! Bruce told me to check out this site. It's really cool to see old men still freestyling. I have been in touch with Russ Howell and he is planning on moving back to So. Cal. He is THE freestyle legend. I haven't skated in 23 years. I wonder if I still got "it". Later!
