PS You HAVE to come to Breck and/or Morro Bay, we'll make sure you get your fair share of beer in your belly!

What I meant to say was, "Hello Swiss people! (and Swiss ladies!) This winter I began to learn German. My German is not so good, but I love to ride skateboards. I live in California. In Spring [I wrote "Summer" by mistake. I meant "Fruling."] of 2005, I fly to Zürich. When I am there, I will study Spatial Planning at HSR in Rapperswil. Where are the crucial skate spots? Also, how many straight edge concerts are there in Switzerland? Speak to me with child language, because my German is terrible!

New forum!
On 2/6/2004 Adam wrote in from (66.121.nnn.nnn)

Not sure if anyone has noticed but the Swedes are taking over the Cyber Slalom Challenge!

That's right.. while we pack on LBs in front of our giant screen TVs watching Tivo reruns of JJ's boobie for the umpteenth time, a dozen or so maniacal Swedes have been practicing their Cyber Slalom -- in the dead of winter -- in secret indoor training facilities! I'm told their methods are highly classified but I'm hoping this new forum will cause them to slip up here and there and reveal some of that Swedish Secret Slalom Sauce!

Swedes at Breckenridge this August?!

Hallo, Schweizeren!

european spots
On 2/2/2004 Silentbob wrote in from (194.3.nnn.nnn)

Hey Gareth!

If you read english, you must definitely go to this website: longboardmaps.com. You will find lots of spots, some urban, some in mountainous areas.

If you read french and want to know about french spots, use this website: www.riderz.net and search for "road trip", you will get tons of maps of spots that french riders rode last summer. If you are in Paris or in the northwest of France, you will want to ride this spot: Dampierre. More details (in French) at http://ridersenbray.free.fr/. In the French alpes, you will want to ride the D173 road, longboarders'Route 66, that you can fin at www.D173.com (maybe some english there with an online translation)

About switzerland, you will want to try longboarding.org (still in French).

If you don't speak french, then try and email the webmasters...

You got it: not all of europe speaks english, but once you get there, it's awesome!

Enjoy

Supa
On 1/16/2004 Bähr-Back wrote in from (80.13.nnn.nnn)

Formerly there was Undergrind (manufactured by the firm wich made Aluflex later), then comes Supaflex. A short time later Aluflex start, then, same guys, different brands and firms, BUT nearly the same technology: Same wood insdie, nearly the same alloy, same bond,Supa just make the difference with a thinner alloy and an added layer of laminate fiberglass. You'll feel more difference from the shape than from the construction.
I don't give a f#@! about whose the best; I don't even ride on one of those companies board. So please no more bulls#@!, at least aluflex is not permanently saying s#@! on Supa; Supa is older as a brand but Aluflex is older as a manufacturer.
So don't try to covince me in a way or another, I'm there from the very beginning and both are (or still can be) good friends of mine, plus I don't give a f#@! about their fight.
