I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the race in Stockholm. The jam format qualifying, timing system, food and cone judging were all excellent. And when there was any doubt we just reviewed it on video! The competition was really close - it was an intense day. A big thank you to Corky for meeting me at the station and massive props to Peter Klang and his lovely girlfriend for putting me and the Latvian guys up. He kept us entertained, gave us beer and made us some great Swedish style breakfast. I could not believe you surf the coast of Sweden in the Winter. Peter you are a diamond geezer. I hope to see you all at the races soon!

Sorry see you next Summer !

Anyone in Lucerne wanna hang and cruise around the lake please call me at the Palace Hotel room 425. Here for five days playing at the festival and couldn't bring a board. I keep seeing all these cats with the Summit boards and seismics running around pumping. Going around the lake looks like it would be a blast. Be awesome to get some slalom in too if possible. Thanks

Tom, thanks for the post, I will try out your recommendations. Yes I did once venture over to John Lewis on a Sunday night and met some of the gang..had a good night. Trouble is I drive from Lambourn to Heathrow every day so doing on a Sunday night and then again 10 hours later is not much fun. The Bozi is going very well and of course I supply them via www.snocat.co.uk. I have also got a Bozi GS which I fell off at high speed when in Deux Alpes recently...the scars are beginning to heal : ).
Maybe I will have to try the pilgrimage to JL again. Best wishes

Hey John, - Not much to ride around Lambourn (except perhaps a horse!). But don't worry we'll be putting on some events at a new venue near you from October onwards. I can't disclose the location yet, but we'll be running downhill races there (Plus perhaps the occasional freeride) from October 2004 till March 2005.
Check out www.ukgsa.com for more details nearer the time. In the meantime, stick a post up on the lushlongboards.com forum and see if there are any other local longboarders near you - there must be a multi-story car park in Swindon?!
Regards,
Tom W.
P.S. I remember you from the Maidenhead carpark sessions - Hows that Bozi going down? Have you ridden the John Lewis carpark yet (High Wycombe / Maidenhead junction M40). It's well worth the trip for our regular Sunday night session - it's all outdoors, perfect for carving or alpine racing alike!

Hey, I used to ride occasionally with Luke and the guys at Maidenhead but having moved to Lambourn (between Newbury and Swindon) its a bit a a haul up to Maidenhead. Anybody doing any riding in my neck of the woods? I currently ride a Bozi Pintail and just collected some gravel rash riding a Bozi GS out in Deux Alpes at one of the Martin Drayton Snowboard camps. Let me know whats happening!
