Kanufi, if they are comparable to Bozi's, then it's pretty obvious they are sweet. Alas, a lazy teenagers salary doesn't allow for a pricey board, but give it time...

Yeah the boards are up there but the finish on them is up there with bozi boards.I wanted to make boards that people will look after. All the components are top end stuff.Average time spent on finish alone would be 15hrs per board(8 coats of polyurathane )Maybee i could make them cheaper buy giving a little less time in the finishing but i like to sell quality stuff.next time we have a slalom day nifoct i will bring them along for you to check out.

Hey kanufi, could you post some pics of your boards? I'm interested in getting a longer board soon. Has anyone ever ridden a kernow board? (www.kernowboards.com) They seem to be the only relatively large board maker in australia.

its a pretty good spot, super smooth asphalt, steep enough to get some speed. i suspect that although we're technically allowed to set courses there on the weekends outside of the bike clubs official ride times, it would be quite busy. but on the weekdays its a great place. hardly anyone there, just a couple of bikes and kids on tricycles. we'll have to hit another weekday next week before you're back to school joseph. i'm moving to cogee on saturday! sweet!

Hey Joseph, I will be going up your way around Friday week (9-11th Oct) so if you wanna go slaloming, I'm up for it. I would want to go downhilling, but I'm taking my gf, so I can't fit the luge and my buttboard is in NZ at the moment.
I'll call you closer to the date to sort out times etc. but I thought I'd give you a warning.
Oh, Pete, 1) Do you have any wood and time to possibly make a downhill board, and 2) About how much? Basically Jono has taken my board to NZ and I've got a deal going where if the board breaks, I get a new one on him. I want it to snap, basically. Nothing set in stone, but I'm just sorting out options. Cheers.
Oh, and get back to Canberra as soon as you can, it sucks down here at the moment! haha

i'm meeting haggy at ten at my house should be there set up by 10;30. i like the place but i'll let the expert decide whether or not its good enough to justify everyone travelling so far. adrien i'll ring you at some point and meet you at a station and we'll slalom. if anyone is coming its a bike track at sutherland near the swimming complex.

naah, i hail from the northern steppes of norway, via the usa and a couple of other hot spots of world geography. i just rolled into town a month ago, am having a go at the aussie life for a while. we'll definitely have to meet up when you're down pete, it will be good. it looks like a crew is coming together down here. that phone number will only last for a week or two longer, i'm moving out into a new place soon, email's probably a better bet. oh, and i might be shooting up to queensland within the next month or two so i'll let you know and bring my board for a skate. peace.

hey haggy, I'm a temporary Queenslander at the momement, but will be down your way for a few weeks at least around Chrissy/new year, will happily come wiggling then, also myself and some other southern lads are entertaining the thought of an alpine region luge and D/H trip-if it happens the more the merrier-I'll keep that number handy, is it permanant?

Longboarding in Japan

On 9/21/2003

There are two types of English speakers in Japan - those that ride longboards and those that don't. I figured after a few years living here the network would start to unfold but so far I know a lot of the second group of people and not so many longboarders. In that there is a hell of a lot of pavement here, I figured it was about time to start connecting with other folks. My vision is to start compiling information on favorite runs around Tokyo and expand out from there. Is there any interest?
