was good for 2 and a half hours then the rent-a-cops kicked us out and tried to take some cones. i dont think it will happen there again. later in january there is going to be a ride/race in sutherland. should have a good turnout. adrien you can stay at my house if you want cause it will probably go till the evening followed by a party.

Its SSS racing (as in Sunday 21 Dec Slalom in Sydney. I just spoke to Haggy and we will bring our cones and slalom boards to St Marys Cathederal , College st, (next to Hyde Park and the Domain) Sydney City. Nearest Train station is St James or Circular Quay ferry. Start around 4pm onwards. Come one, come all, bring cones and we may even have a bit of a race. The venue is fast paving stones in a square in front of the cathedral with a ramp start(!) due to the sloping architecture. A lot of kids skate here and say its not a bust. It will be good to meet the dudes involved in the Sydney Slalom scene. Free Fibreflex stickers for all!

Push Race

What do you guys think of a push race around Centennial Park? I think it must be done. Two laps around the park, one lap is just under 4km i believe. So two laps gets the heart rate up. It would be guerrilla style, the parks dept would never let us have anything official there. Any interest? Maybe a $10 entry fee, just to cover a prize for the winner. Let's hear some ideas. This needs to be done!

May I recommend this exhibit. Saw it today actually and thought it was bloody fantastic. Saw some things on the wall I have sitting at home too, both old and new including an old school setup I got at the tip last week for $4. Will be hanging onto that one I think...
Yeah, go see it. Great exhibiton with stuff to impress and probably bring back memories for a lot of you older fellas.

got up early this morning and went to the skatepark at Maroubra, what a place! smooth as butter cement and lots of good lines to blast around the street course. This would be a great place to have a banked slalom contest like the one they have in DC. tried out the pool as well, this is new to me and i'm pretty useless really but I plan on going back until i figure it out a bit... at dulwich hill last week i ran my longboard twice through a big puddle at the bottom of the bowl - the bearings are all rusted up now, home to take care of repairs later skaters...

got a nasty flu last week, am finally feeling better and am down for some skating soon. Paul, lets hit manly this week, i'll give you a call. Dex, Kanufi, you guys aren't too far away, wanna come cruise around, hopefully find a spot or two that are good for setting cones... in between laying around in bed and coughing up crap, i did have time to check out an old skatepark in dulwich ill. its a snake run that dumps into a bowl. very very cool spot. the best old school spot i've skated here so far. they are building a whole new skatepark there so when its done it january it should rule. once i figure out how to get the photos off my digital to a computer i'll post some... peace out dudes, see ya in the fast lane! in the meantime, i need a job, anyone need a hand?

Hey all,
Who's interested in a guerilla carpark race? No security, no gates, free parking, fast ramps and corners, 4 man heats depending on numbers. No entry fee because there are no prizes, just the satisfaction of being the fastest rider on the day/night.
Not sure of a date, probably January sometime. E-mail me if you're interested or leave a message here. I'm just up for a good old race with other longboarders.

I saw England win the Rugby World cup at the stadium last Saturday - brilliant atmosphere. I'm right in Manly where the team was staying. On a slalom note Fibreflex slalom decks are ready to order on Fibreflexskate.com If you are in Sydney give me a shout. How many people are interested in a comp in January when it is mid-summer down under? It just needs a little organisation.... cheers Paul
