Singapore Sk8 Parks

Hey Brad!
When I last lived in Singapore back in 1996, the only skatepark was one out at Ang Mo Kio. The park was pretty lousy, wooden ramps with lotsa bumps, so we used to just go there to skate the banks under the MRT track nearby.
I don't know what the scene is like these days. If you're there pay a visit to a skatestore and ask, one in Far East Plaza, run by old-time skater Ramli I believe, and Spitfire, a shop in Peninsula Plaza.
Good luck!

Hey Grindmaster, if you're in Auckland March 14th come session at Manukau Skatepark in Hayward Park, behind the big Manukau mall. Slowly putting together a e-mail list of us 'oldies' and everyone seems keen to get regular sessions going so we're starting a once a month thing happening. First one March 14th, 10-12.

thanks for scoping it. yeah its so mellow you can snooze as you carve....still my favourite, second prize the tole bowl, then the kiddie bowl at cornwall park where i learnt to kickturn and my brother knocked out his teeth...never touched a skateboard again wisely! and i've just remembered that weird tight bowl at huntley, and a even eweirder park near the glenbrooke steel mill. next to a creek it flooded at high tide but i summer dried out fast enough to ride. i love weird and badly designed concrete!!!

Grindmaster, had a skate at Upland in the weekend. The pool bowl is very tight with kinked trannies. Difficult but skateable. The rest of the place is pretty mellow. When you're here check out Devonport, the newly re-built Marlborough Park in Glenfield and Manukau park. They're probably the best spots in Auckland. Orewa has a new park too.

Call me 0417 499 404 if you need directions. My email has been funky lately. Enough boards to go around. So if you're in the Sydney area and interested in trying, come on out!

They've rebuilt Marlborough Park. Devonport is pretty fun if you like tranny and halfpipe. Taupo is the best park in NZ. Fun new bowql at Ngaruawahia.
Cheque out www.018.co.nz and www.skateparks.co.nz Pretty sure New Lynn is on their. It's old and rough these days. Grab my e-mail above and we'll hook up when you're here.
Keep an eye on this thread: http://www.nzskateboarding.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7283 Might be able to join us...
