Glen,

This next run:

$45 sealed bland
$50 clear finish
$70 color art work
plus shipping

On the art I just gave him a basic color scheme and his artist went nuts! I am going to mount and ride it at least once... then I might frame it and put it over the fireplace. I'll bring it to the sjc ride on the 4th for guys to check out... HR

I am trying to talk him into a run of 10" matching decks...

Check my website for old school stuff www.iceit.com.au go to the skate section and enjoy, I only trade, I am also looking to trade 70's stickers and bits and pieces.
Cheers,
Tony

Hey Fellas,
Anyone got a set(s) of these that I can take off thier hands? Used, new, right out of the box, I don't care, as long as their in good condition and come for a good price. I don't want any bent axles or hangers obviously, and would be shocked if someone tried to sell me any in that condition! Anyway, e-mail me if you've got'em, and want to get rid of them. Thanks.

Old Slalom Board
On 1/23/2001 tropicalian wrote in from (150.131.nnn.nnn)

Here's a pic.
I got this board off ebay a bit back, and its a too flexy for me.
The dimensions are about 29" x 7", its the shape of a Turner Blackbird, if I'm not mistaken. I don't think its a Turner, but I could be wrong (there are no identifying marks other than an A.Z.F. German Bearings sticker on the bottom.)
Here's a pic.
I would guess it is made of fiberglass and wood. Old school hole pattern. I weigh about 165, or actually 170+ after the holidays I would say ;), and I can flex the board nearly to the ground when I stand in the middle of it. I'm sure it could be stiffened up by a glass job or similar proceedure, I can't really do an operation such as that in my dorm room. It also has a slight scuff on the nose, I'm sure it could be sanded smooth, and also your usual light scratches on the top. Great condition otherwise though.
So it is sure to be a nice slalom board for lighter riders than myself. It has a super quick return to it, very snappy indeed. I bet it would tear through the cones. About 1" or so of camber too.

This offer is for the deck only. I will trade or sell the deck, preferrably trade. Any older skate equipment is preferred. Make me an offer, we'll work out the details.
thanks
Jay

G&S Fibreflex 44" x 9" Pintail Deck(Retail name: G&S Blacktip)
On 1/23/2001 SimFucious wrote in from (152.163.nnn.nnn)

G&S 44x9 Pintail with phat red/black design on the bottom. Board shows basic wear and tear. little scuff on the nose(easily sanded off) and scratches on the bottom(could easily be waxed or painted) I have 2 extra holes near each mounting spot so old skool trucks could fit. Grip tape is a torn(about 3 milimeters)right over the new mounting holes. this board is up for TRADE.

Re: LandYachtz DH
On 1/21/2001 Tony Healy wrote in from (209.247.nnn.nnn)

Maybe the DH is designed for hills, but I [and a couple of friends who tried it] hated it on hills. But it's so low to the ground that it's a breeze to kick around on the flats.

Lemme know how you're riding your DH on hills [e.g. stance, weight distribution] as it's probably bad technique on my part. If I could learn to snap quick turns on hills I'd keep it. :-)

-------------------------------------- ---------------

"Plus, it's hilly here in San Francisco so I'm mostly riding hills, not kicking around on the flats. If it were flat here I wouldn't be selling it."

??? The DH for "kicking around on the flats?" I don't think so. It would be a cruddy choice to tool around the flats with, that's for sure. It is made specifically *for* hills! After all, "DH" stands for "Downhill." It is designed as a speed board, not for walking the nose or casual flatland riding...

Land Yachtz DH Complete or Deck+Pads+Trucks
On 1/19/2001 Tony Healy wrote in from (32.100.nnn.nnn)

DH compelete with trucks, bearings and wheels...or just the deck with the trucks mounted:

- LandYachtz DH Deck; great condition, ridden about six times, minor scratch behind front truck; three stickers behind kicktail (Bones, Randal, Indy)
- Indy 215 trucks (stock orange bushing); bought new, ridden three times, no scratches
- Urethane flat risers (black)
- Mounting hardware (black, trucks mounted)
- Bones Swiss Bearings
- Exkate Turbo 76 mm wheels (blue)
- Grip tape nearly new

Why am I selling? See my entry in deck reviews for more details. Basically, my FibreFlex suits my riding style more, as I can stand over the front truck. Plus, it's hilly here in San Francisco so I'm mostly riding hills, not kicking around on the flats. If it were flat here I wouldn't be selling it.

Anything wrong with it? One of the wheels wasn't poured quite right, so the inner side of it isn't flat. Looks a little weird, but rides fine. Was gonna send it back, but never felt any wobble so didn't bother.

What's the deal? Well, here's what it costs new:
- DH deck $69
- Indy 215 trucks $38
- riser pads $3
- mounting hardware $3
- Bones Swiss bearings $36
- Exkate Turbo wheels $30
Total = $179US + tax + shipping

I'm selling it for $150US plus shipping.

If you don't want the wheels & bearings (which is fine with me, as I can use them on another deck) then the price is $90US plus shipping.

If interested, please email me at TonyHealy@EarthLink.net, as I don't get here as much as I'd like these days. Thanks!

Tony
