I'm riding the pool hustler II which is a Afroman sk8 co. product, This board is longer than you usual park or pool model's. Good wood, good design, you'llprobably want 169 indy's with 1/2" spacers, wheel bearing everyone has there view's on what's best, but for me anything above 59mm is all good. Bearings same goes, but for me Lucky hardballs.
Hope this helps!

hey- i've been longboarding for the past 5 years, mostly carving and pumping, and now i'm interested in getting a shorter board and trying out the park stuff. anyone have any suggestions for a good setup that would be stable and surfy? i know a little about longboard equipment, but i don't have a clue about any of the park stuff. any advice would be awesome. thanks.

We are raising funds to construct a concrete skatepark in York, PA. It is to be named the Reid Menzer Memorial Skatepark, in honor of local skater Reid who was killed January 22, 2006 while riding his streetluge.
You can help by purchasing black-and-white checked wristbands (ala Vans shoes) with Reid's initials (REM) and the motto "Live...Breathe...Jam" for 5 dollars each. There is a minimum order of 5 by mail ($25.00).
Please consider getting together with a few skaters/friends and helping to make this park a reality. For details, go to:
http://reidmenzermemorialskatepark.org/Fundraising.html
Home page: http://reidmenzermemorialskatepark.org/Home_Page.html
Thanks, Dan

That Kansas skatepark looks like a lotta fun.
Here's a shot of Lester Kasai from yesterday's practice session at the 2006 Soul Bowl. Today and tomorrow are the main events.

I saw the thread on conspiracy and just wanted to let everyone know they are great people. I had placed an order right when they were changing their computer systems and it got mixed up. I took a while but they stuck with it and even compensated me with some extra stuff (thanks Ashley!). Great products and the new red "street" wheels work great on tranny.

In St.Louis Missouri we take the s#@!cake for parks gone wrong. But three hours away, Kansas city has itself three recent parks within 10 minutes of each other. Shralp hand poured concrete, blast over a loveseat on the backside of a cradle, grill and ride round walls as smooth as your bathroom sink. pretty sick. Check out the Shawnee park its a must.

Harrow is like a funnel. Try the pool at Romford in east London. http://www.concretedisciples.com/bbs/index.php?action=vthread&forum=9&topic=14250
If you haven't been to Rom... it's another classic 70s British park. Better than Rom though.

Jim, actually "there" team is full of nice people who rip. LBR, Buckit and Kuhn and Co. are very good people. "There" wheels and boards are of fine quality. Maybe you are just an idiot or some such thing?

Right on, 66! I loves me some Aliens!! I prefer the orange 97a's myself but I see a ton of people on the greens. Lindsey, Buckit and the entire Conspiracy crew are putting out serious quality products and not just wheels. Everyone should have Conspiracy product in their stash.

I have a set of 60-98's and several sets of 60-96's. The 60-96's are less "skittery" to me and feel better. In general, the no-skoolz are very nice wheels. They are wide and have a far better feel and control (to me) than the narrower wheels. Plus, the board just sits and looks better with a wider wheel. I was toying with trying some 92's or 94's in pools.
I found the 65mm versions are just too heavy and dont react as fast. Once they get going, you are definitely cooking. I do use them on one of my retro style boards, but not on my regular tranny/roundwall boards.

Eddie - Between the 60mm and 65mm I have gone with the 60's in the 98a. Chris makes the 65mm No Skoolz only up to a 96a. In pools and parks I've been riding the 60mm/98a for about 3 years exclusively. I won't ride anything else. Get the Biltin bearings with whatever ABEC11's you go with.
