Hey James! Glad Jr. is okay. When I rolled up on him he was starting to go into shock and it looked as if his sternum had a knot as well as some ribs. Got his feet elevated and his breathing under control and then I pulled him up and out. That is one tough kid and an even tougher skateboarder. James West Jr. and other kids that ride like him are the future of skateboarding.

Wow. I am just now back at work after Indian School weekend and the Kates Nips race this AM. Hack, thanks for the props. This year’s I.S. course was a f#@!ing GAS. Tech at the top and then opened up into “fast as you wanna go”. It was extra fun for me because I got to have the fun of launching while the cop was like 6 feet away from me pointing & yelling “YOU, STOP!!!” I mean, how often do you get to ditch a cop on a skateboard? I love it!!
The race at Morris on Saturday was way fun. It went off without a hitch, the course was a blast, it just went great! The Sat. PM death race was by far the best park slalom I have ever seen. Everyone was killing it, Budro was just flat haulin’ ass and it was followed by a session featuring the likes of that one dude doing the boneless airs off the 13 foot past vert wall and Abe blasting FS airs like 7 feet out of the bowl. Just awesome!
The scorecard so far reads like: David Angelus, 8 stitches in his head James West, Concussion and fractured ribs Cody, cracked ribs Jim Z, broken finger Various other stuff ranging from minor scrapes & bruises to Big Ryan’s pizza hip.
Kates Nips this morning was more low-key. Big props to Cody & David Angelus. They both suffered serious injuries on Saturday, but were here to race today. Even Ricker took some runs on his bad ankle.
I don’t know all of today’s results yet, but I think Jason Mitchell won.

Hey! What a great chinese race at 3 mile. It was gnars, and only a few riders did not fall. Way to go to all the riders who braved and raved down that rock filled, cracked up, trash filled, wet ass ditch.
James' truck broke off in a pothole and he wanted me to thank all the racers, especially Jodie and Stubbs for watching out for him. He broke two ribs and has a concusion. He missed the race this morning and is home on pain meds.
thanks for all for supporting my son.

You nailed it Hack, Chris Miller and James West represented hard and have now moved into dark horse contender status.
You missed a killer Death Race too. It went off! Science Fair was in the house! Along with Ryan EP, Langer, Billy Greene, Mercado, Brunson, Palmer, Mike Kreske, and a BUNCH of Texans. Murf and Danforth were also on the scene. But Budro was not gonna be denied and took home the cash, followed by Racer X and Florida boy Kelly Lynn (that guy always finds a way to get to the podium).
All the downhillers and ditch jockeys left their boards in their cars and hooted from the sidelines, but a few of 'em were thinking about joining the fray.
Get yer ass out here next year.

The race went down in overall good conditions; clear skies, no wind and very little water in the ditch. John Law made a guest appearance and shut the race down after 15 racers. The final 8 racers snuck up a few hours later and fiished their heat. Unfortunately the wind had kicked up and a flood was released above the Tramway bridge. The racing was wild and burly as the racers hydroplaned at 30 mph through an inch of water for 100 scary yards. Cabbage took a digger in the heaviest section but O'Shei, West, Angelus, Lynn, Cody and the McLaren crew powered through in one of the gutsiest displays of charging ever seen in that ditch.
The race was called after a single heat due to high winds and uncooperative law enforcement officers. The new technical course claimed 8 riders to DQs. When the dust cleared the trophy remained in New Mexico as Will Brunson took out reining champ Ken Mollica by a scant .14 sec followed by Mitchell, Palmer and Jim Z.
Huge props to all the sponsors and course workers. Thanks to title sponsor Sector 9 who came through with major cash, prizes and schwag.....
The qualifier will allow for some redemption.
Indian School Outlaw Results;
1. Will Brunson 2. Ken Mollica 3. Jason Mitchell 4. Rob Palmer 5. Jim Z 6. Billy Greene 7. Andrew Mercado 8. Gregg Faddell 9. Chris Miller 10. James West 11. Ryan EP 12. John O'Shie 13. Biker Sherlock 14. Joe McLaren 15. Cody Raver 16. Kyle McLaren DQs - Steve Lange, Rob McKendry, Jeff Budro, Joe Lehm, David Angelus, Kelly Lynn, Cabbage, Anthony Smallwood.
See you next year.

Cabbage - three cones on one wall is one more than 2 cones on one wall and one less than 4 cones on one wall. Purty simple in my book.
