Flat warm beer gets my vote. London is a nightmare at this time of year so lets find something "local". How about the pub we go to after Hyde Park? This has Dutch and Real Ale

Ian, there are plenty of hills in Scotland, certainly more than any other part of the UK. There are even a few ski resorts, though most people travel to mainland Europe for BIG mountains. It is often described as one of the most beautiful parts of Europe. Good luck with your studies.

Hey, I live in the U.S. and will be attending the University of Aberdeen next year. I was wondering if there will be ample hills in Scotland. Any info you can give me would be much appreciated

Zoo Bar's a little wild for me. Anywhere nearby with a roaring log fire, flat ale and whippets?

Talking to Sam, It seems that Epic favours someone who is comfortable with ramp starts, obviously with such a short course, if you pull in to the start rather than just roll in you can gain a significant advantage......where i'm going with this....
is...
is there any agreed standard for start ramps (ISSA, FCR etc)...how high, how long, what type of transition ( flat ramp or FCR style roll in), any standard for handpulls, positioning of timing strips/beams ( top of ramp-v-bottom of ramp!).
Any Opinions?

I know a while Back Clingfilm proposed an Xmas drink on the 21st in Brighton....
well i for one Can't make that, Soooo is any one up for going for a few beers on the 18th...traditionally a Thursday.
So far its Me and Sam & possibly the Stridemaster....any suggestions for location, Leicester square seems fairly popular, with at that time of year a high "totty" quotient...i was going to suggest the place where Paul Price had his Birthday....the Zoo bar!

Micheal, another great day at Epic!
It was great that everybody mucked in to keep the times and run the slalom while mike did the long jump and death race.
I must admit it was great when all the slalomers stopped to watch the long jump. Well done Luke for winning.
On a more personal note it was great to drive to brum with my old friend " brickie ". For those that do not know he was one of the original South bankers.
I hadn't seen him since "94" and to be honest I didn't think I'd see him again! But it was great to spend the time chatting with Him and catching up.
The one thing that really impressed me about everybody's skating was how everybody's times just got faster and faster.
Micheal sorry to do it to you again, but to be fair to you, you were really busy running everything and then when you were about to take your runs the timing went up the spout. For people that weren't there Micheals time was after ONE timed run!! Phew, that was lucky for Me!
Maybe next time Mike.

David, that's the same combo as I'm running. Mcree has only just had the Kryptonic bushings poured, but they should be included in the package. Previously the trucks arrived with debadged Tracker Stimulators. The setup you used at Brum had two of the clear bushings up front and two reds in the tail.
The toe block was provided by Tony at www.tnrdesigns.com/skateboards.htm, whilst understanding the deviancy of currency needed the top math(s) of http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi.
Shameless shopping may not make you a better skater, but it sure is fun! I'm going destitute for a while...

Michael, I notice no star beside my name. That's because I was compelled to use an old Surf Flyer with ACS 430s and Alley Cat Wetslicks (60a).
Now, where on earth can I maintain hold of one of these fabulous new boards?

* indicates the guys who used Sam gordon Roe 's' camber with Radikals. I am sure Sam would like it to be known that the reason he was beaten was due to his astounding genorosity at losing valuable bonding time to curious bystanders / liggers / johnnycome latelys who constantly wanted "one more go".
(oh boy I hope that all sounds right in print! Sam did really well on a new set up- brilliant)
Seriously, I hope everyone had a good time. It was deliberately kept simple, thanks to everyone who mucked in, and I felt it was fun to get a ton of runs in. Well done Ed!

Are those trucks the Radikal Dragon Claw Titanium Combo. I have looked on the website and these are $350 plus $50 postage and packing. If I am going to spend this amount I need to know the exact details and to check that the bushing are the same as yours.
Please let me know as I want to get my order in.
