I was 41 yesterday!!!

I was sitting down having lunch with my family and friends yesterday and I was thinking to myself..........2003 has been a great year for for Me.

Firstly My kids have finally taken an interest in skating, nay not just flipping, but Slalom!

I have been to a load of comps this year with the family coming as well.

Iv'e been to Switzerland and skated with many different people from both Europe and America and I hope I have made friends for life out of these meetings.

Iv'e been consistently placing in the top 6 and I end up getting 3rd overall.

And my wife (Jill) loves Me......the mad fool!

A merry christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.

P.S. I have finally beaten Mr Stride, not once but twice.
Micheal you were my target to aspire to this year, it took a while but I got there in the end.

Edwin

It's down a little alleyway from Floral Street, that runs through to Garrick Street. Can't remember the actual name of the dog-leg street it's on. Just head down Garrick Street and look for the scrum of people outside a pub.
I've got a long and boozy lunch that day, so a few post-prandial sharpeners might well hit the spot.

Unfortunately I've been roped into a family doo on Thursday to welcome the flying visit of the pregnant cousin from Noo York. I expect it'll be like one of those old emotional 'family reunion' BA averts. Only with rain.

Xmas drinks
On 12/11/2003 graham wrote in from (80.3.nnn.nnn)

Well, Paul K gets my vote for social secretary / party whip (strange and disturbing images float into view)! The 18th is definitely on my beer radar, trouble is I'm working away that day and am likely to be late home, which means that by the time I get into town you lot will be a good number of drinks to the better (/worse?). Still, I will try to make it. Of all the xmas "DO"s this year, its the one I would most like to be at!

(Luke is unlikely to be able to come as he works in the evenings.)

Graham.

Fueteventura is the place to be with a longboard
On 12/10/2003 Baron wrote in from (195.93.nnn.nnn)

I couldn't help but put a note up here for all to see about the place I have just got back from a belated summer hols in Fueteventura. (still 24 degrees now)
Its a relatively small place but has a mountanous regoin with the longest, quietest and smoothest roads i have ever seen in my life, They went on for miles with marble smooth tarmac and not a skateboard or car to be seen for miles ( I never took my longboard, sob, sob) And to make things worse, in a very small vilage called La Oliva not far from Corraleja is a fantastic huge mellow skate bowl, never ridden and just stuck in the plaza in the middle of the village. To all that read this , If your ideal is to stick your wife on a golden sandy beach while you take your hire car into the mountains and bomb some 10km unused smooth roads then Fuerteventura in the place to be

suggest it for a winter holiday and pack yer longboard

Enjoy
