I did not realise about the Open Class either. I was looking through the rules, tidying up loose ends and saw that there were two events, mainly to support unsponsored skaters. So it was a suprise to me too, bbut rules are rules - so congratulations

thanks for the kind offer Smokestack (it sounds epic) but I'm still in Sydney, Australia (32c sunny - water 21c) getting back to my surfing roots. (a root means something else in oz - do you know what it is yet?) We will be skating that day (see Asia forum). Happy Xmas/NY to all my freezing skate buddies in England ;^) see ya next year!

I won't be able to make any skating on Sunday, but for a good reason. We're having our yearly Chilli and Marguerita party and I'll be preparing grub and drink for most of the day.
I suggest that the UKSSA have the yearly drinks/awards at my gaff in Brighton. I just need to know who's coming as numbers are getting to be a bit of problem. Starts at 4pm.

the micro second clip of Smokestack racing at Brands in the late 80's....as featured on Gen:ex last night....looks like theres a small segment on slalom in the film "rolling through the Decades" as they showed a trailer and the clip featured in it!
