Steve
of course you are more than welcome to do this, and we do as a matter of course, although you may be skating with all our kids as well. Just come and skate and have fun. we may ask for a donation though as there are costs involved at Brands.
There is a long straight at the back which is good to practice on.
I hope to have a GS and super tight and H2H so some could take place. Remember the first event is free.

Brands (Att Clingfilm)
On 1/26/2004 Steve wrote in from (213.107.nnn.nnn)

Hi
Are there any dates for brands yet? I came to the second one in 2003 and had a blast. Thing is,
I was rather hoping that I could organise a group of us from the Middle-age-shred ranks to tag along. I very much dought we could or would enter the main comps, but would be great if you could help us set up our own little cone shannangans and just let us use the back of the track just to bomb about and have some fun.
We'll obviousley be happy to pay some money towards the day.
What do you reckon?

gruenigen
On 1/24/2004 edwin wrote in from (195.92.nnn.nnn)

Sam..............GOOD NEWS...........Gruenigen maybe back on for me!!!
I originally asked Jill to come with me but she said it would be too costly so close to our holiday.
But something has cropped up so fingers, arms, legs and everything else crossed and I'll be going. Hoorah!!

By the way Sam me and Paul stayed at "The Antler" which is five mins away from the comp. You could of course stay in the bunker which is below the Saturday night party, not far to full into bed! And it's free!!
If I do go I'll be going Saturday morning from Gatwick and I'll be driving to the Airport, past you Ian if you want a lift.

Greuningen
On 1/24/2004 SamG wrote in from (81.128.nnn.nnn)

Ian, last year many of us took the very early Saturday morning flight from Gatwick and were kindly met and delivered to the race site by an emissary of Jadranko. This meant that not only did no work days need to be taken off, but also helped cut the cost of an extra night's accomodation. I'd like to do the same again this year. If there is a(n) hotel in Greuningen then I'm hoping to stay there (details anyone?), otherwise it's the bunker for me.

Edwin, you WILL be missed in Switzerland, but I'm sure that Ibiza will be good to you in it's on inimitable way:

Iknow, Ian. No ponytails.

Check this pic of the Downhill run at longleat from about half way up, it runs right down to the door of the House.. It's Amazing I rode it a few months ago You can clock upto 60mph easily on a Downhill board.. This Event is gonna be the bomb.. The only fault I can think of the road is its a wee bit narrow its 2 cars wide but only just.. See you there..

Easyjet to Zurich
On 1/23/2004 SamG wrote in from (193.203.nnn.nnn)

Just to clarify the situation, Easyjet flights to Zurich from Luton are now available; flights from Gatwick have yet to be released.

It's just another underhand way of forcing the official EU language to be littered full of 'Ay Ups' and 'Eckythumps.'

Pony Club, anyone?
