Allright - arm twisted... Will be out the office at 5.31, hopefully in HP before 6.30. But for all that effort I'll need more than a half!

I'm half-thinking about it - need to go home and get my board and cones though so would get there 6.30 earliest. So 15 minutes of skating before it gets dark and we have to go to the pub?

The ground is nearly dry and the sky is clearing up so will head to HP shortly, ETA 6.30.

I'm dying of man flu so am going to give tonight a miss. The ground is drying pretty fast in central so I reckon HP will be good for a skate later (as long as the weather holds). Have a good one.

If the weather clears up later I'll head to HP, be there with cones by 6.30. If not, straight to the pub...

Well the weather couldn't stop it but circumstances beyond our control could; The X in the City event has now been postponed until April 2011 and therefore so has our race. It appears that the show was getting bigger and bigger to the point where the infrastruture was too small to deliver this world class event.Obviously I am very disappointed especially after all of the enthusiasm and encouragement received from so many great racers around the world. We will endeavour to make this event bigger and better when it takes place next year.Thank you to all of you who have shown your support in this eventThis postponement will of course give some of our cousins across the pond plenty of time to start planning ahead )We are considering our options regarding staging an outlaw race in London on the weekend 23rd & 24th October instead. Rob (LSD)

If its anything like the triathalon preparations it will make for less crowded skating! I will be there with board before 6, gets dark about 7.15 so will be off to Queens Arms after. Weather looks dry too. See ya!

I have just read on the Home Office intranet that security officers are sweeping everwhere around Hyde Park, sealing drain covers etc. and contractors are erecting fencing in around Serpentine Road and surrounding area for the Pope's prayer vigile there on SaturdayTherefore we may not be able to skate? That being the case we can go straight to the pub. However the HO intranet has not always been acurate with its reports - anyone nearby that can go for a recce?CheersRob (LSD)
