First i want to thank Claude and Mary-Beth for the great weekend of racing, they keep improving year after year with more fun- more racers, prizes and stoke!
It was again fun to race you Claude, i'm sure if the timer worked the first time in the semis you'd had me outta there but it was fun and really close.
Congrats to the new Canadian Champ Civ, you are fast and clean and gonna be on top for a long time.
Chris Barret! Holy sh.. you got fast in a year!! Always fun meeting and chatting with you, keep that extrememly positive and humble vibe.
Congrats to our own Julie for beeing the top female racer in Canada. I was stoked to see all my friends racing hard and just beeing fast, Mig was really working hard on sunday eliminating a bunch of racers while beeing unable to use his left arm big ups bro! My Montreal training partmers all raced hard and were as always really entertaining (even when they got me way too drunk friday nite).
My Québec city brothers, all fast and fun, always cheering and partying!!
Was great to meet new faces and old ones like JoeI, Marshall, Molly, Mike Brooke, Fat Boy, Shasta, Rob etc. and in some cases a pleasure to meet their families.
Big thanks to my "personnal assistant" Sylvy who took care of almost every one with water or sunscreen or a smile, anytime again baby.
Like Chris said: More canadian Races!!

Huge shout out to Claude and MB for hosting a fantastic weekend of racing. It is hard to picture the Canadian Slalom scene of two years ago - after watching the calibre of racing this weekend.
I am absolutely thrilled on the performance of our racers - Civ - top of his game, Barrett getting used to the podium, Patrick joining Chris on the the podium, plus Justin and Luke killing it all weekend long - they are the future of Canadian slalom.
It was great getting to hang with the Quebec/Kebbek gang again (you guys still own the partying) and many thanks for the American's (Lynn, Dave, Joe I, Art, Fatboy, Joe/Kyle and Wes) for coming north of the border to race.
Kathy and Haiden truly enjoyed their first slalom race and Haiden did not want to leave on Sunday night.
Brad and Art - thanks for the two toughest races I had - truly enjoyed going head to head - our 4 runs made the weekend!!
Malcolm glad you made the trip - you show huge STOKE!!!!!!!
I would also like to thank all the volunteers - your assistance was greatly appreciated - hope the sunburns and dehydration were justified.
Back to work - dreaming of racing
Al the best,
Rob, Kathy and Haiden

Hey all, I had a serious blast over the weekend. I posted some pics our compatriates took in the SLALOM section. But I have some personal shoutouts.
Pierre: Thanks for the very very cool conversations. You've given me lots to think about and I'm gonna keep experimenting. It was awesome to get some ideas from you.
Mig: Great watching you skate again, you're still as fast and friendly as last year!!
Dannilo: You've scarred two torontonians for life! ;)
Brad: As always a pleasure to see you again!!
to the Kebbek city crew: I LOVE YOU GUYS!! You're easily the most chilled out and friendly group of people at that race, and the smiles made everything that much more fun!
There was a ripper in your posse (louis I think his name was?) who hurt himself at legacy and had a wicked big welt on his arm. I gave him the skurf board, if you could get him to send me a picture of himself with that board I would be really appreciative.
MORE CANADIAN RACES!!!!

Barrett, your stoke and enthusiasm helped me thru some tougher parts of the weekend; the rest of you may speak to me after you've run three races yourselves.Claude is packing to leave with Pirnack tomorow morning for Hood and I'll return the sound equipment and clean the coolers. Then on to the skate jobs that enable Claude to race. It's possible and it can work ... be creative , practice, WORK AT IT! Thanks to Ian at Kebbek for fueling the stoke and being there for us and the other racers whose vibe keeps it alive. Skurf rocks!

thanks to you, shaz and everyone else who realizes that this is a world-class event! the stoke makes us want to work to improve and support the sport - two years ago we had 18 competitors and this year we had 69 (hello1? is that called growth?) for those of us who travel to Europe & the US on our owncoin to learn how to run international races, we realize how quick its coming alone..the rest of you ... BRING IT! (cuz it's here to stay!) thanks to all the competitors who paid the entry fee (WE GAVE EVERYTHING BACK TO THE RACERS)and our tireless volunteers, terrific sponsors who know where the sport is headed thanks everyone and look forward to the rest of the season and next...

I just want to give a huge shout out to Claude, MB and everyone else that made this event possible! It was a great way to spend a long weekend, surrounded by friends who have quickly become more like family. I continue to be amazed at how much enthusiasm there is out there surrounding slalom and all the participants involved. If events like this continue to happen, I have no doubt that in the near future slalom will prosper as an internationally accredited and recognized sport.
Thanks again to everyone who made this weekend that much better and to the new slalomers who continue to provide a tremendous amount of stoke! `Til next time!
Shasta - girlfriend of the NEW National Champion of Slalom! (had to throw that in there... ;) )

Things I learned this weekend:
-I need to practice more -Patrick needs to practice less -Mike Duquette is FAST -Pirniack is FAST -Civ is a sandbagger -Fatboy has no shame -Americans like how we say "eh" -You shouldn't light fireworks in a Conference Center -Malcolm is badass for just getting up and taking a bus all the way to the other side of the continent -Headwind SUCKS!!!!!!! -the Kebbeker's STILL rule, -I'm 2nd in Canada -Civ is first (nuff said) -Luke and Justin are getting scarry fast. -Skurfs name will now be Skiff Skurts -Wallets dont belong behind the bed. -Sunscreen doesnt work as advertised -Chris and Lisa have far too many gross stories about personal bodily harm -2 McDonalds double cheesburgers form a cement like substance after mastication and digestion, just don't ask... its gross. -Theres nothing better then hanging out with some of your best friends for an entire weekend of racing.
Thanks to all ('specially Claude and MB) who made the 3rd annual dovercourt open the coolest.

Brad's coming too? Wow. Have the statute of limitations expired from last year? Is Civ's Mom coming? She was all over me last year and I'm bringing my wife this year. Some one let her know to keep it on the down low.
A bunch of US expats roll in around 2-3PM. We will hit the skatepark and then go downtown looking for poutine. Call up my cell 8605897024 or check for Iacovelli at the dorms.
Can't wait to see you guys. First drink is on me.
