The folks that ride the Wed night sessions would might die of boredom, but not a mellow as the Super Mellow Beach Cruises. I'm recovering from a torn shoulder tendon [from golfing] and can't over do it. So mellow it is. Does that help?

Hey MetroLongboarders and other longbaorders,
Looks like we're back in action this Sunday, Sept 28.
It's going to be a bit of a mellow ride. To start with, meet up at Hogtown 401 King St West] around 11am. We'll head out around 11:15. The first destination will be the hill to the west of High Park, namely Ellis Ave and Windermere Road/Coe Hill Road. The second destination would be the hills near The Kingsway and Dundas St. West. We'll have at least one car that will return to the area after the session.
Any questions?

Hey MetroLongboarders,
There will not be a session this Sunday. I'm recovering from a torn tendon in my shoulder [from golfing] and can't sk8. Also, Steve and I realized that the last long weekend of the summer probably won't be well attended.
The next session will be on Sunday September 14 - the day after the boardmeeting.
Below is info on the next big session in NYC.
Talk to you later, Tom
________________________ __________________
AAAAWWWWWWHHHHHH YEAH!!!! This is the one you've been waiting for! The infamous race that lures racers from around the world! THIS RACE IS HUGE!!!!!
OK we are looking forward to prize money from Sector 9 Lots and lots of boards trucks and wheels from Gravity Skateboards, Earthwing Skateboards, Randal, ShutNYC, Bustin Boards, Seismic Skate, Comet Skateboards, Concrete Wave, and many more!
The Weekend Should go like this Though nothing is stone yet.
Friday
Friday Night Rips --- Prospect Park, Brooklyn ---- 10/10/08 ---- 8pm
Earthwing Skateboards is hosting the Friday Night Rips. where there will be sliding and wheelies.
To get there take the F train 15th Street then skate into the park at 15th and Prospect Park West, turn right at the main loop and skate till you get to the hill where the skaters are gathered.
Saturday
Broadway Bomb ---- Riverside Park, Manhattan ---- 10/11/08 ----- 12pm
We will at 116th Street and Riverside Park try to be there early we will start the race around 12:30 or at the first sign of the man. We will be assigning number cards for people to hold, then show as they cross the finish line. The Race is from 116th and Broadway to Bowling Green. About 8.2 miles OK for those of you who Haven't done this race before. THIS RACE IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! NO ONE UNDER 18 WILL BE ALLOWED TO RACE! If you have not been skating in traffic for many years I suggest that you take it easy. PLEASE WEAR A HELMET. That one thing can save your life. OK! Had to get that out! Once you get the finish line at Bowling Green (A few blocks below Wall Street.) Its important to show your assigned number so we can record your time. After some photo Ops with the Bull at Bowling Green, we move on to the barbecue.
Barbecue ---- East River Park ----- 10/11/08 2pm –---- 6pm
Burgers! Beer! Trophies! Skateboard Prizes! And Money!!! Sounds like the makings of a kickass barbecue to me!!! The barbecue is a great opportunity to get to know some of the people who were crazy enough to skate with you down Broadway in Traffic.
Sunday
Powerslide Jam ------ Fort Tryon Park ----- 10/12/08 ------ 3pm
Hosted by Earthwing Skateboards the Jam will be about SERIOUS SLIDING down some nice hills in the Cloisters in upper Manhattan.
If you take the A train to 190th street you will come out in the park. If you are closer to the 1 train then take it to 191st street. If you're driving from NJ come over the George Washington Bridge, turn uptown on Broadway and go to 190th street. Then your gonna want to skate down the hill and listen for the sound of cheering skateboarders. If you get lost call Mike 917-703-4200 or Brian 347-623-3421 from Earthwing.
This year we're going to try and sign up skaters online (once the website is fixed) and then assign them a number. Please wait for an email that will instruct you to sign up on online.
YO! Ian

REMINDER!!!!!!!! _____________________________ _____
Hey MetroLongboarders,
The official August 17 session will be in the Beach's area. If you want to meet at Hogtown you can, but the logistical issue is that there will not be no ride from there to the Beach's. Our regular meeting spot is indicated in the attached map at Glen Manor Dr. E and Pine Crest [blue area], around 11:45am. We'll ride these hills for while then move on to others.
For those logistical reasons, the earlier planned session to the Hamilton Sk8 Jam will not happen. For those still interested in that road trip you can read the message below for more info and contacts.
Sk8 with ya later, Tom

Hey longboarders,
How about a session that starts in the Royal York and Old Mill areas!? The Royal York and Dundas West area has some good mellower hills to get warmed up on. Then we can move on to the faster hills near the Old Mill. Which isn't to far from a number of long hills running from Bloor to Lakeshore.
We can meet at Hogtown around 11am and head-off around 11:15. If you want to meet at the hills just ask for a map.
Any comments or suggestions?
