Hey! Ontario longboarders, cool.
Toronto: http://torontolongboarders.com
Cambridge/Kitchener: http://hqas.com/clc/phpBB2/index.php
Canada in general: www.coastlongboarding.com
To Paul in hespeler: Do you know Jon, Paul, Marcel, etc. in Cambridge? If not, you should introduce yourself via the above messageboard. We go for semi-regular sessions. Hope to see you around :)
To Justin from T.O.: check out the Cambridge messageboard too. We're not that far away and there are a couple people on the board with contacts in Cambridge.

Hey guys, I'm looking for boarders in the GTA to ride with. Is there a club or something cos I've never seen any longboarders around. If someone could help me out that'd be great. E-mail me, Msn, whatever works. Thanks!

Any slide contest in Canada? If not...how come? We should definitly put this discipline on the map...i know we might have a slide exhibit at the Top Challenge 05, but why not comin up with a BIG slide event? Im sure we are enough in the country to compete or jam all together...

Otávio,
The site is www.methodx.ca, and there are some pictures in the gallery, a video will be up in a while. If you or any of your friends plan on comming up to Canada, you should come up a week before and also race in the Sullivan Challenge (www.nuac.ca), July 16-17, this way you could make 2 races in two weeks. Also check out Danger Bay 4 (www.coastlongboarding.com, which takes place May 21-23.

Hey TU,
I am a longboarder and streetluger in Cambridge (Hespeler). Some good hills and plenty of speed. I get together with the TO boys now and again for some runs on the escarpment too. And of course the Annual Board Meeting...
Drop me a line.
Cheers,
Paul

Pierre hey glad to hear your cast is off. Re-hab, re-hab and more re-hab. MB says that now that the plate and screws are out of her ankle you better look out :).
Mig - we will run a Pro- $50 - Open & Women $25 - Kids $10 Canadian, EH!
The speed will not be severe and we hope to have enough room for footbraking and we may have some big foam pits as well.
As usual there will be free accomodations at our indoor sk8park for those staying in town if you choose.

Pierre, on behalf of the Quebec City Crew, thanks for the encouraging words! We will all try to be there. I know I will! ;) Dan and Julie already made arrangements to free themselves. And Rich and Reggie will surely make it too. I hope a couple of others can join us.
Claude, any info you can give us would help a lot. Like entry fees, what are the different classes, how tight will the TS be, etc... Already knowing that there will be start ramps and foot braking means two more things we need to practice for! :)

That's great news Claude, i had my cast removed yesterday and i can walk on my foot so this race will motivate me to be ready to kick ass in 4 months. There will be guys and girls from Montreal and Quebec City (whos got a growing and talented group of slalomers) making the trip to your race.
Thanks again to you and Mary-Beth for making this happen again this year.

It's confirmed July 1 & 2, 2005. July 1 TS & July 2 Long hybrid. Strat Ramps and foot braking on both days.
It will be on the Contest Calendar soon. Expect Prize money for the Pro or A class.
Info will be updated as it happens. Bring your Park board cause we will have a Park Slalom on the 3rd for those who are still in town.
