I'm supposed to go tomorrow but the weather doesn't seem to cooperate, i guess i'll decide in the morning. Right now the forcast goes for 50-50 rain and windy, not too good for slalom... You guys are interested in comin? It may be better to wait for a better forecast.
I'm getting a little faster with my ankle, i may be able to put some pressure on Claude july 1st.

The 2nd Anual Dovercourt Open is shaping up! We are racing July 1 & 2 We have friends coming from the U.S. so now we're international! Ian, r u bringing the timing system or do you want to build us our own? We could really use one of our own...PLEASE! Also we could use some cool t's so let's get organized so the ink will be dry before July 1. I'll be in Montreal the week-end before so could pick some stuff up. Some folks are coming in June 30 - we have camp here that week. A variety of accomodations from free to cheap are available. We are expecting to have sponsored beverages & food; we try to make it reasonable for everyone. Don't forget to register!
Pierre, when r u going to Quebec?

Heu Guys! I'm back and safe after a long day and a hectic to Ottawa from Montreal when the hood latch on the pick-up let go and it came back up to break the winshield.
Luckily the big rig behind us wasn't too close and we managed to pull over to the side safely. We had at least 125 km left to drive hoping that we wouldn't get pulled over by any Police. Anyway we found a peplacement hood (red, go figure) wich I will replace tonight and the glass gets replaced tomorow morning.
As for the racing, plain and simple likely the best Pro-Field ever. Events and attendance just keep getting stronger. I am happy with my results placing a 29th in the TS, 22nd in the GS (my 14.060) was scrubbed after the timming system was replaced (this would have kept me in 17th) and then a 17th on the GS on Monday. When you look at the times in the ro Division and see that there is very little difference from Top to Bottom everyone should be satisfied. Yes, I know I could have done better same for others but we didn't and that's life. Enjoy.
We are looking forward to seing you guys here on canada Day. Looks like we will have some American racers in the Pro and Open category to contend with.
To all of you sending out Best Wishes Thanks for the support. fabrice from Montreal took part in the Slide Contest and placed 3rd so Congrats to Fab for the Canadian representation as well.
C-Ya"ll Soon.
Pierre Yes, we will have to get to gether soon and we must set-up Fabrice. He was going to compete in the Slalom on my deck but funds prohibited that.

Hey Ian!
Yes the new board is very sweet. Lighter and more pumpable for sure. If I hadn't of almost pulled the starting ramp to an upright position i likely would have one the opening round. Then Kenny would likely had knocked me out.
Phil did what he had to do advance and my congrats goes out to him.
I'm glad that I now have a couple of models for some of the varriying courses that we see. Theres always a time and a place for one or the other. If I would had a little more time I would have set it up for my last run on the GS. As it went I used my Bonita and apparently was ridding the longest wheelbase in the comp so I'm pretty happy.
I'm looking forward to riding both Cknuck models in France. Rob did very well and keeps getting better all the time. I picked up food poisoning yesterday at the airport in Atlanta so i'm still feeling pretty crappy.

Need Info - Ramped Risers & Stability

Hey,
Can someone tell me what's up with ramped risers. I realize they change the angle of the truck's axle, but how does it effect high-speed stability with a standard design truck and flat deck? Or are they just used to re-align the trucks on what I would call a "drop-deck". Any info appreciated.
Thanks!
