You ever heard of JOHN HENRY? I have a stoping style that will match your money and you will pay me for the ideal that new and money can beat old and and mean. To stop fast is not going to beat anyone and I will prove it , fly me to the world cup in july 2006 in germany and me that cool rich guy will get it on and I hope he truly knows how to stop or I will run over him, may do it anyways!Just having fun bored , I know this guy is full of it and has no money and bored like me but hay if he does I will not let him beat me so I can not be on his team , haaaaaaaaaaaah aha ha!Sorry guys and girls but I can not read and just picked put a few words from TRI THAT SPELLS TRY IN AMERICA!

Hi Dave,
I learned to slide on 70mm Flashbacks, 78 A. The have a lot of grip, but if you push them they slide verry predictable. I tried some 73mm Gravity Super G's 85 A and some 60mm Sims Nitros 97 A. The Nitros slide best, but are verry loud. With higher wheels you have to stretch your body deeper. But also Im not a young stretchy guy, I didn't feel any difference between 73mm or 60mm. As a rule of thumb you can say the harder the slider :)

Just when you think your regular downhiller knows it all... Kryptos..what was I thinking? Oh well, I'll leave it to the pros. Much respect for the gnarly sliders. I would love to do it again, and with some harder wheels this time mother f#@!ers. I'm still in awe...lets get all you guys on a serious speedboard.....DC

Hey mate no worry. This f#@!in internet cant say it all. I just cant wait to go meet ya all Faltown brothers for a schooling: you guys gotta give me the techniques ive seen on Cliff's camera. WICKED PIG ROLLIN OVER A BLANKET. I almost cryed. f#@! it was nice.
Faltown is the most creative crew i think. You come up with great ideas. You should work on some crazy slides like this but on a longer board. I would be so happy seein that. I aint no short deck fan, i like the long wide slides, but i wouldnt mind bein a complete rider by knowin these tricks.
Next year, instead of Paris, i might hit your little town. I felt in love with what ive seen.
Peace brothers!

WooOOooo chill out my concrete brother! Im not moaning at all!
I am SUPER HAPPY off my runs, thats ALL that matters to me. What i am sayin, is that i though these slides where more valuable. You know what i mean? I am super happy with the points they gave, im just dissapointed FOR ME not of the judging, ya know?
The boys totally deserve 98 90 100 they gave a show no one could had given. Chris Dahl is the one that surprised me the much, with is low riding and up standing techniques.
DUDE! What i am sayin, is that there where two kind of ridings, but one big family. You should had been tehre to se all of our smiles before sayin macho this or soul that. Im sure we are the same, bitume lovers.
Chill out!!!
Peace.

F what the hell are you moaning about!! You came second! Dont blame the scoring system. Have you seen Sergio skate???? When you can do the same crazy s#@! that he does then i reckon you can moan about the scores! Not really in the spirit of longboarding is it? Maybe this is why contests may not be such a good idea. Kinda takes away a certain amount of the soul and community and creates a macho attitude amongst some and the idea of one-up-manship on each other! Would loved to have been there though just to see the slides that went down. In the end anyone with a grin on their face is a winner...wrap up F

'till got a smile on my face!!! Even if here it's a freezing minus 10... Thanks to all the riders, the public for making this event so outstanding! Thanks to the judges who had a difficult task, the medias and to the sponsors who made the event attracting for those who came from far away ; and to Michael Bream, of course, who made all that possible! :D

Well, I'm back in New York in the snow and beginning to recover from from an awesome weekend in So-Cal. Slidefest was amazing. I learned so much riding with the best sliders in the world: Sergio Yuppie, Fabrice Gaetan, Chris Dahl, etc. and got to meet a bunch of skate legends including Cliff Coleman, Dave Hackett, Brad Edwards & Chris Chaput. And it was a pleasure meeting a lot of people especially the whole gang from Gravity. Thanks Bream-O, Fabrice, Will J, and everybody else for a great day.
At the beginning of the contest Cliff Coleman said, "Forget what everybody else is doing today. Skate better than YOU have ever skated before." This ended up being good advice since I was on the amatuerish end of the spectrum having only been sliding a few months. Still with my 58" Gravity Ed Economy Surf Rider I managed to be pulling off 360 slides in both directions by the end of the day which is something I've never been able to pull off in either direction on any board before, so I feel good about how I did even if Cliff wasn't too impressed.
So the Overall champ was Sergio Yuppie of course. Here's his final slope style run dressed as Spiderman... er, Sliderman!
