Harbor Skateboard Racing Practices
On 2/14/2007 Steve Collins wrote in from United States  (65.91.nnn.nnn)

San Pedro slalom practice alert:

Nic, Joey, Wyatt, the 4 guys who showed at the end of the race and any other San Pedro residents that want to begin slalom training: I would like to set up a regular practice schedule and get everyone race ready. The spot where we have been holding the races is a great practice spot but is difficult to use during the day due to the foot and bike traffic. If you could clear it with your folks to be there during early evenings on weekends we might get it going then. There is also a gnarlier / faster spot that is good during the late afternoons that we can move to once everyone's skill level comes up. Let me know what you and your folks think so we can get the wheels rolling. Also, if you know of any other great area spots that don't have cars, please let me know.

Thanks everybody. Looking forward to practicing with you all.

Steve Collins, southswell@cox.net

P.S. I have a few extra slalom boards so don't worry about having to gear up with boards right away. You will need to have your own helmet, pads and wrist protection.

No entry fee for local kids
On 12/8/2006 Steve Collins wrote in from United States  (65.91.nnn.nnn)

Nic, no entry fee for local kids. Any other friends you want to bring are always welcome. Make sure you get some practice in ahead of time and everyone has helmets. I know the last course was tough but the next one will be technical. I'll be glad to provide input if you need any. Hope to see you guys & your folks there.
