Rick thanx for scaring me! Damn hair on my neck is standing up. Dubois, there ya go, get healed up fast. So Rist is faster but Brasile is Gnarlier? Ian, I did pull out another video for the kids last week. I have the DC Downhill video from the Zoo. Let's see...Chaput won after one false start. You, JimZ, Jody, Joe Degenero(sp)(BIG UPS!), Dupin, Smallwood, High...oh Bob Swartz was the official. So Dupin was goin to send you a Migration deck for winning the caption contest...I'll check with Doug. Va Beach...wow been some time. Use to get off werk from the radio station at 6 am and then sk8 the boardwalk hitting all the free continental breakfasts at the oceanfront hotels. Times were pretty crazy then...Good luck with bar and howdy to the folks back there K. Maybe I'll sk8 in for a beer someday. Colorado is almost over, least up here. I'm hoping the snow holds off til Sunday, I was gonna try to hit Cottonwood again? I gotta go read Rick's posts again, thanx for the riders perspective Rick. Oh yeh the DC DC was the year before when Smallwood put us up in the hotel with Reed.

I DROPED IN AND ALL HELL SEEM TO BREAK LOOSE GOING INTO THE LEFT, IT GOT FAST ! COME CLOSE TO A STOP AT THE TOP OF THAT DROP OFF INTO THE LEFT AND AFTER THAT A RIGHT AND THE RIDE OF MY LIFE ! AFTER TRYING TO MAKE THAT LEFT STAND-UP AND ALMOST HITTING THE HAY COMING OUT OF IT WITH NO TIME TO MOVE MY FEET JUST WHENT FAST, FAST IN JUST A FEW FEET. THE ROAD IS NOT BUTTER, ( AT ALL ) AND IN THE FLAT. RIGHT WHEN I WAS THINK YES, STAYING ON MY BOARD A NUTS RAISE IN THE BOARD THAT IS SO SMALL THAT YOU JUST CANT SEE IT AND AT 65 MPH YOU CAN FLY !!!!!!!1 AFTER THAT AND STILL ON MY BOARD, ( NEVER TUCKING IT ) JUST HOLDING ON , hA ! I WAS AT THE END IN THE FLATS AND CROSSED THE ROAD AT MAYBE HIGH 60 MPH AND ALMOST CAME OFF MY BOARD. lIKE I SAY DONT LOOK AT THE SURFACE, JUST RIDE THE SHT OUT OF IT . BY THEN I AM DONE, BUT THE SHUT DOWN CAME UP FAST AND STILL HAD TO STOP MY BOARD. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 AND THAT WAS MY VERY FIRST REAL VACATION.

I love that you have a 'forum' now. So easy to keep up ;) Glad to read of your adventures my friend. It always makes me smile. News in VAB is I am now a partner in a bar at the oceanfront with one of the old block bartenders and a skimboard freek that smokes amazing meat, among other things. The place is called The South End Pub. It's attached to the old skool VB Seafood Company, so we have the killer crabs, oysters and such as well as "smokkin' Butts BBQ'. The place is a total 'joint'-building from the 1930's, very old dark and cruddy cool, I like to think. Anyway, yesterday, the stairway to restaurant heaven opens up, and guess who walks in like a vision from on high? LOCKHART!!!!!! I have been blessed that one of the archangel rockstar bartenders is now slinging the only legal recreational drug in America at my joint. He's putting things to rights for me at that dirty old betty of a bar. I freekin' LOVE him. One of the world's coolest men. Your boy Dale hooked us up wiith pickle buckets and key chains, which is so sweet :) Are you back in the kitchen again this season? Lock and I will raise one to you, bro, and send the irie psychic restaurant vibes to you across the miles. Aloha, XO

DC DC HOw was your trip? Would like to hear about it sometime.
I had a few guests for the weekend KLUDY and the only sk8 footage I have is the first Gravity Games. We watched it many times. So yeh we had this crew this past weekend. Started off up @ Loveland Pass Friday afternoon. I got up there and rode 2 down the Basin side and one down the Loveland side. It took me a while to get a lift and that only gave me time for standing out in the open and of course a Statey pulls up to tell me I'm done and to pack it up. Justin and Cooper met me at the top and we each road the Basin side a couple times. Really fun road with gravel in all the scary places, good speed and grippy turns. Those guys got one in on the Loveland sssyed and we split. The next day we left for Cottonwood Pass with Zak, Calvin and Tommy 3 young punks with nothing better to do then chase an old man down one of the biggest roads and most epic scenery. COTTONWOOD PASS IS SICK! Guess what kids...it's only an hour 40 for me! Ok sorry to rub it in but I'm goin there this weekend. Stop by before it snows. Glad ya'll came by and I would tell more stories about wheels coming off and HIGH speeds with deer and hairpins with cars and wow had a blast. Sorry Justin got tweek'd. Dude you gotta get healed for Brasile. Still think your the only American goin. Kludy's Gotta have some thoughts on Tuetonia I don't know how to spell it. Justin got some great photos and sux the so best foto guy is the guy who can't ride, but you stayed on as the driver also. cool cool. thanx for the truck Cooper and keeping things safe! Fun chasing you guys. We gotta Vail Pass Copper SSSSyeds in before the trip was thru. Thanx again ya'll, lotta fun.

How I spent my Summer Vacation...I was fortunate to go to more races this year and skate some real treasures than ever before. I got to see plenty of old friends, some of the same old dicks, and make lots of new friends who share the same adrenaline deficiency. (Wow, this is cheesy) I was riding Loveland again this past Saturday, such a rad scene. Snow and mountains, big trucks and hairpins. These 3 kids came up to me while I was staging and started with the wow and cool, "your crazy", "can I stand on your board?". So they asked if they could interview me for school, no prob. The kid's first question is "What is a journey?" DAMN! He got me. I mean I just clammed up, I got boards in my car older than the kid that have been around the World. My car has 229,000 miles on it. Steve Perry left the band years ago and Neil Schon was just an ok player during the guitar hero days. I smiled, looked dumb and tried to talk about myself and my journeys, but that's not it. Life and everyday is a journey...wow. While on top of Loveland an old couple like 70ish?? Where walking back to there car. As the old woman passed me she asked if I was skateboarding down the road. She said the last time her and her husband drove over this mountain pass there was a guy skating it, 30 years ago. I laughed and said "no way", she sat down on the tailgate of my truck with me and said "you don't believe me do you?" I wasn't calling her a liar I was shocked that Loveland had been skated so long ago. She had photos from that day and of course we posed together for one. I've had 3 people at random times who have nothing to do with sk8ing ask if I saw these guys in suits bombing a big hill with a camera? "Sure, Noah and Rizzo" I had no idea that vid was getting such circulation and glad it is. That vid says a lot about what we do, It's all about fun. Thanx for keeping it FUN guys. Journey this weekend to Colorado Passes!!! P Rice I would love to see ya down there and will try to get it together, helloooo Timeship. Also on the Pass...A small 2 seater plane came over, or I should say under. Damn thing was so low I was looking down into the cockpit. Guy was buzzin the s#@! outta the parking lot. Thought of you Jimmy Flindt! Happy Birthday Buddy! My Journey wouldn't be the same without you. My house this weekend, rsvp.

Rick, Thanx for everything. "I'm just here to have fun", "If I pass a couple of these young bucks I'll be stoked", "Please don't let me hit the hay". You always say what needs to be said. Looking forward to sharing a beer with you before qualifying. I got into this sport after seeing that stare when you were on the line at the Gravity Games. That image is burned into my brain, and quite an honor to watch the raw footage in the Kludy family room this year. Thanx for taking care of me. My CBS footy is short and I'm trying to stay in frame, not run into the car, and smile the whole time. They were playin the Chargers so maybe it aired there? The background, Loveland Pass is beautiful. It's above treeline at 12,oooft and there is snow and sunshine with the bluest Colorado skies ya ever did see...ah. So yeh it's really nice out today and I'm gonna go scrape the couch for gas money to get to the hill before work. Take care, see ya at the top...
