So what your saying is since nobody "officially" did the paperwork and the event didn't give eeerbody a crack at the World Record...Gary still holds it. Yes this it true, but I remember you drafting and passing me around 70 mph somewhere in Colorado. "Officially" scaring the crap outta me! Rick...less piers more beers! What the hell are you doin eating piers and staying under and, dude? DUDE!?? HA!!! What kind candy are you giving out? I just grabbed a bag of those mints from the front of the restaurant, kids will probably egg my car for that.
That vid of yours Billy makes me smile, I'll shall keep it. You and Huey look like your having lots of fun. Those forests you have are really amazing, the pay off for all that rain. Reminded me of riding with you before Mary. If I couldn't see what the guy in front of me was doin I didn't know what was coming up. Bombing out in front must be a rush. Nice lid btw. Those little bikes shouldn't be able to got that fast.
Sux bout the weather down there in Brasile but I guess it rains sometimes in the RAINFOREST!
Vail Pass is snowed out! I rode from the top to Frisco the other day and had to go thru 8 in in some spots. Fun still but some walking. There is also black ice. My friend was up ended and looked like he was thrown on his back to the pavement. One of the hardest slow moving falls I've ever seen. Poor guy never saw it comin, bam to his lower back. Took em out! heal up
Stay safe, keep smiling...

Becky, BAK was the newbie! Merriman was there to pick up the old guy slack, oh and yeh I'm ancient also.
I watched Holy Grail and Python heaps as a kid, and in the "Grail" Arthur(King of the Brittans) approaches a person in the field and says "Old woman" the response is "man". Arthur apologizes and explains from the back he couldn't tell it was a man and is also corrected that "I'm not old, I'm 37", too which Arthur is also apologetic for. I'm now 38, I'm getting farther from 37 everyday. I'm what the King of the Brittans would call old. I'd like to think of my mid-life crisis as the next step to becoming more wise. (HAH)
By now most of you have heard about Peter Ramirez and the tragic news. I have been drinking lots of coffee and stewing about this for 2 days whether I should say anything other than, what? What can you say? With this forum and knowing many of the people I care about speedboard, I can't let this go. I'm so sorry for his friends and family and please don't take offense if I screw this up. I only met Peter in passing at a couple races and didn't really get to know the kid. I've looked at as many photos as I can find of him and realized he must have been a blast to skate with. Big smile. You can tell he had his s#@! together when it came to skating. I know he had an unexpected and rare accident and did what he could to prevent it. We, as riders need to learn from this. Peter Ramirez cared about skating and you, the greatest tribute we can pay him is a lifelong tribute to minimize the danger. Now that I'm old, I've had my share of friends pass. Some from avalanches, motorcycle accidents, mountain bikes and all types of boards. When people have terminal accidents while being "extreme", some say "At least he/she was doing something they loved." I don't know if that's true anymore...When I was 16, that was the truth. When I was doin crazy s#@! @ 16 I never thought about death, I was having FUN! Now, with age, I'm trying to survive. I've told my mom that be sure to correct people if I pass while riding, sure I was doin something I loved but I was trying to make the turn. Peter wasn't scared and he wasn't thinking about what may happen, he was doing something he loved. Pay tribute to Peter Ramirez by keeping each other safe. His family should know the entire community is rocked by this and we will never forget him. The snow is falling, stay warm. peace

Ethan, take lots of your T shirts. I have the one you gave me at Mary this year and love the memories. Always fun to trade T shirts with other riders and down there the Ratos and Hill Killers will have T's you can only get in Brasile. I can't make it and know I'm not as fast as you or the rest of that line up. No need to get in the way. Oh and there's no way I can afford it. I'm unemployed waiting for the snow, it's a snow bum thing. Have a BLAST down there LauLau. You Might be the FASTEST SKATEBOARDER in the WORLD! Go get em!
Who would you bet on?????
I'm stoked to be heading to Madrid for Brunson's Birthday, although last year was kinda weird now that I remember...
Got in a few Vail Pass runs yesterday with a good crew. Old school snowboard pros, young downhill phenoms, a ripping chick, a couple noobs, lotta fun bout 10 of us. My roommate is a sponsored snowboarder and coach, he's been bombing hillz with me very little. When he gets on any board snow or skate he becomes very committed, which is cool and all but when he started getting bump drafts from ZAk in the fast sections while riding 150 R2's, I started cracking up and getting ready to dodge a crash but he kept it together. We got to the bottom and he was trying to figure out what just happened. He doesn't know the protocol of drafting and Zak thought my roommate knew how to speedboard. Those lil 150's were wiggling like mad but he stayed tucked and road it out. Laughing my arse off!
Goin up to Daybreak Ridge today. I hear there's a backdoor, ssssshhhhhh...

F N A !!!! Justin you go down there and see some ass! Brazil has the most beautiful women anywhere! I know you will be traveling with the wife but get some dark stunna shades. You're riding a Comet? Huh? What about Pagan? If they dropped you maybe we should talk? Please keep all of us updated as much as you can while in the jungle.
The line up for Brasile is really amazing and I couldn't pick who might win, neither can you? Good luck to you all and enjoy every moment. Saturday will be the best day this week and I'm not down with pushing around a flat park. If the BBQ is anything like Never Summers boards, I'd rather eat at McDonalds. Sorry you will be missing a rad session riding your own local hill. I'm glad your organizing stuff down there Brian, that is way cool. Please don't think I'm trying to slam you, Denver needs you and all the other young kids who are pumped on riding. I will be looking at my griptape while you guys are dripping BBQ sauce on your graphics. Going out to skate, its getting warmer... Calvin, I need to talk to you soon. Please call me 970 445 8980
Stoked I got to take a couple runs with Gary. There's a short list of people who will stay in my head. I only met him briefly and his personality and image are stuck in my melon. peace

Getting excited ! I would say yes there will be a new world record this year. I think the speed will be in the high 60 mph range and I also think the world is competing for it this year, as it should be . Gary Hardwick would be very stoked to defend it and would go down trying.

So Erbans around tuning up for Brasile. Stop by, anytime, ya'll know how my place werx. Man it is cold outside! I'm trying to thaw my fingers while typing. I'm going to take some old snowboard gloves and put sliders on em. Snowed down here last night but it's really sunny now, maybe the roads will dry in a couple hours. Sweet time to skate out there, all the leaves are on the roads and trails so you have these big wakes of gold aspen leaves flying in the air behind you.
I was trying to get my share of that 700 billion that's goin around but no daturd bailout this year. Really want to go to NYC for the BOMB, man that's a fun event. So NUTS! Taxi's, buses, tourists, cops, freakin racing thru NYC! GO if you can, a must ride. Have fun this weekend!
Got on Daybreak Ridge shhhhhhhssshhhh...
Sk8 safe stay in your lane (ok, unless you know there's nothing coming, but even then your just becoming complacent to safety and thats not, ok just stay in your lane)
NYC, Brazil, NBC, this things kinda big...look ahead.

I hope you can heal up fast and stay positive mon, you shouldn't miss the chance to ride this...well you understand the importance of this. Hanging out in Brasile with my brothers is BIGGER than ANY HILL! Remember the Crippled Master, "If I survive, I will be a success". I rode Cottonwood a couple times Saturday. It was COLD! There's a lot of animals up there. Holy Big Horn Sheep, angry looking guys too. A small chipmunk tried to commit squirrelicide but freaked me out into missing him. Not many shuttles, I had the thumb out and got rides every 30 minutes, kinda sucked. That hill is fun. P rice I'm gonna try to get to Brunson's Saturday, cause Friday is Halloween and I Volunteer at the local boys club sucking razor blades outta apples. Oh I founds the copy of "Bomb Hillz Not Tomatoes" I was looking for it drunk and ripped my room apart. Came to and s#@! wuz everywhere, while cleaning up I found it. Fast Freddie on the cover. Sick footie great vid...Find Fred and get yourz. Street Missile.
