Attila, It is great to hear you are riding and racing again! Congrats on your day with the BLR boys. Thanks again for all of the help you gave me via email regarding setting up that board you sold me. Dude, I am still a newbie but that board is awesome. Just recently road it at Exit 46 in South Carolina on a course set up similar to the Athens GS coming up next week. Even though that board is more for tight I was able to haul ass down that hill on it making all of the offsets and cones. Even though I am a nobody you took the time to hook me up with some helpful advise and I appreciate it greatly. Go to the next Pump Station and shred it big time!

Dave,
I'll be racing the Downhill at Danger Bay in Canada, May 22nd. Then the next weekend I'll be in Albuquerque for the Indian School race. After the race, If you would do me the favor, I would like to ride the ditch again with you, Whal, Oshei and any others. The last time was a memory that will live with me forever.

Hackett & BLR, killer race, great vibe, I've missed all that- thanks!!! I haven't been on a hill this fast I can't remember for how long but man this sucker is faaast and looong!!! I ran my tight setup from Morro Bay with a super loose front truck which started to wobble halfway down, I had to footbrake, went through an entire new shoe and almost ate it big time, reality check #1. Then on my 1st timed run, instead of going over the smooth patch at the little curb, I take the hard route to the left of that patch and almost eat it again before barely making it into the course, reality check#2. Everybody was on fire, no fear, new faces- great to see my bros going at it- good to see Sector 9 stepping it up as a sponsor and for supporting slalom, thanks to all sponsors and making it happen. Now, I haven't been able to walk for the past 2 days- my backs gone and I'm just fried, thats what you get for jumping right back into competing after 7 months of doing absolutely nothing.
I'll definitely be at the next one!

I just woke up. We drove home yestarday from pump and just got in at 3:30 this AM. Hackett, Olson, thanks. That was cool. Great weekend. I got to get some waves, meet some new people, get my ass kicked at slalom, and I only had to drive 12 hours each way to do it! I may be back in June. See you.

alright we've established your price
that's a difference between you and me, you're a professional skateboarder
and i'm not
besides a thousand bucks is less than the 3 grand you got on ebay a few months ago for a weekend with you and olson
i got nothing to lose, i skate anything, anytime, anywhere - let me know when you decide on another pump station race

Hack, for your "one last race" you still got JPL on April 30th.
That race Sunday was INSANE. Thanks BLR & LCB for such a totally bitchen event. No doubt the funnest race I've ever run. Maysey set a perfect course. You guys were killing it. I may not be as fast but I do have a hell of a good time. I even beat a couple of my buddies. Woo hoo!
(Hey what happened to Favero? I coulda swore I saw him there.)

RADIKAL OUTLAW SERIES RESULTS

FINAL RESULTS OF THE RADIKAL BLR SECTOR NINE POCKET PISTOLS KHIRO OUTLAW RACE IV:
It went down like this; on the way to the race my surf van ran outta gas- lucky for me Olson was following and I had a gas can. When we got to the race site, Tiger was laying down the timing wire and Maysey and Evans were finalizing the HAIRY FAST TECHNICAL GIANT SLALOM course. When all took a few practice runs, moved a cone or two and began taking entry fees and completing the rest of the set up and sign up.
As all the usual suspects showed up, I was stoked to see Chris Miller from Alb. as well as a few new guys; John Corning, Donnelly, Steve Collings and Kludy. Big John drove down from S.L.O. but didn’t have Johnny Miller with him. The biggest surprise was the appearance of “Zoolander himself” Attilla!
After everyone had a few practice runs, we got the race started about 12:45. The rules were: 1) Push from the line about half way up the driveway. 2) Two cone penalty; Hit three cones- run is a DQ. 3) Racers will run in order of sign up. 4) Course will remain open for 3 hours (4:00). 5) Winner will be determined by taking a combination of the two fastest runs.
Big John was at the top of the roster and held the lead with a 39.47 until Olson smoked him with a 34.83. Chicken’s first run was one of his fastest at 33.36 and proved to be one of the fastest of the day. Maysey immediately through down a 33.02 and took the lead. Evans ran a respectable 34.59. Attilla, layed down a 33.84 having never raced this hill, and after a long lay off from the racing scene. Speedboarder Sean “The Duck” Mallard was impressive with a 35.53, and Brad Jackman with a 35.34 held his own.
Of course, The Brown Bomber was there and looking MEAN! He Hammered Down a 33.43 on his first run and a 32.79 on his fastest run of the day! Kosick is amazing. He has podiumed in every race in this series so far! On his first run he went 33.60 and 32.80 for his fastest. Even though BLR’s Rob Palmer was burnt from riding 6 pools the day before he rolled a respectable 35.45 but couldn’t push it faster than that. Maybe more beer next time… Longboard slider guy Donnelly “Bombshot” the hill from the top with no cones and clocked a 24.59 which we all though was entertaining. Then the serious racing began for the next 3 hours, back and forth the top spots were traded by Maysey, Kosick, Chicken, Hackett, and The Brown Bomber. All around ripper Jeff Budro rolled a respectable 35.12 as everyone had a killer time.
The final results are:
MAYSEY 32.79 / 33.02 BOMBER 32.79 / 33.43 KOSICK 32.80 CHICKEN 33.17 / 33.36 HACKETT 33.06 / 33.76 OLSON 33.79 CARPENTER 33.95 EVANS 34.59 / 34.74 ATTILLA 33.84 /35.55 BUDRO 35.12 PALMER 35.28 MALLARD 35.53 JACKMAN 35.34 KAELON 35.94 / 36.22 CORNING 34.75 / 37.86 COLLINGS 36.83 / 36.91 MERCADO 36.79 / 37.46 TIGER 37.71 / 37.01 WILSON 37.29 /37.67 D. ROGERS 37.24 GORMAN 37.44 / 37.81 BIG JOHN 37.41 / 39.47 MILLER 38.43 KLUDY 44.50
I would like to give HUGE PROPS and a MAJOR THANKS to all our sponsors, especially RADIKAL TRUCKS, POCKET PISTOL SKATES, SECTOR NINE, and KHIRO SKATEBOARD PRODUCTS! Also Black Leather Racing, 3Dm Wheels, Manx Wheels, Deathbox Skateboards, Just Push Play.com, Osiris shoes, Gladiator Gear, Image Entertainment and California Hybrid and PunkRock Skateboards Big thanks to Lynn Kramer for the best timing system we have ever used.
“Khiro Bob” was our official starter, and “Tim” did a great job on timing everyone. We fought, we battled, we talked a lot of smak! But in the end, no one could stop Maysey, who seems to be getting faster and faster with each race. Looks like he wants that Championship Outlaw Skull ring! But will he get it? Tune in next race May 8th, 2005 right before we leave for Paris…
