So, lookin for a few DH'ers in the Washington area. Bombed around Seattle for a few years, just moved to Ellensburg (Central WA) last month. Some bloody good runs out here, from the hills to the valley. Looking for runs as well as riders. I commute to Seattle about every other week, would be down for a trip to Maryhill or anywhere else worth bombing. Riding solo is fun but gets old after a while, don't really know anyone with the balls/mentality to bomb with me. Kids these days... heh

There are a few of us ladies who like to bomb hills, and we're always in search of some new locations. Between homeowners and pigs runnin us out or fav spots, we're trying to find a few areas that are a little less populated.

I'm from north houston around the kingwood area. There's a couple 23-25mph hills by the san jacinto river we hit and work alot on our slides. Other than that its garages and skate parks around town. I also have a 6-12 halfpipe in my yard we skate. Hit me up if you want to skate in houston and im sure me and a few buds can show some ropes. Josh4wlr@yahoo.com or NCbombers on myspace

Hi all, Local 124 is a longboard and oldschool skateshop in Edmonton, Canada. We've had a great first year and "the Fish" has been a great resource. We love anything that spreads so much stoke. Anyway we'd like to get some feedback and external users for a web project we've been working on.. We've been toiling away for the last last few weeks coding a mapping component for the Local124 website. It uses google maps and lets the user point and click their favorite spots or routes or hills or whatever based on type of skating, anywhere in the world and then save them for public viewing, comments, ratings etc. It' should be way easy to use, but we're definitely looking for people to beta test it and give us feedback. So, if you all want to check it out and post some spots we'd appreciate it. I'm sure you'll all find it useful. Let us know. It kicks ass on anything I've seen.
Go to http://www.local124.com (World Skateboard Map) register and/or login (top right) then go to "the map (beta)" (top menu) add some skatespots. Have fun.
Cheers, Mike(at)local124(dot)com

My son is 7 and is getting into this. His Bday is in march and wants to have it at a skatepark. We live close to the Lansdowne bowl but would rather have it indoors. And he wants to take lessons as well. Any recommendations Indoor maryland skate parks???

Kfir, a few blissful years back, I ran into the crew that put together The Gatherings, over in the Gaithersburg area. They've got the lowdown on the good hills in those parts. The Gatherings no longer are an Event, but the DC crew still meets for some slalom on occassion. I'm n ot going to impose on their hospitality, but I'd lay odds on a bet that if you showed at DC crew meet, you'd find a few souls with like interests that know the local terrain. Watch out, though, you may end up running thru some cones and liking it!
