I seen it too'ins up'r on center street hill road. I was a drivn to sunday go to meetn when I done crested the hill and ran slap into a bunch of 'em hillbillies a raising a rukus all round some kinda ramp thing. I hunged out my truck and hallared fer them to git outta the way and I be damned ifin's they didn't give me the middle finger then them thar hillbillies dun started slaping middle finger stickers all over my ford.

I hav’ta tell youin’s that I ain’t ever seen nutt’in like it in all my
born days. Sakes alive, they was a pullin a cart with some kinda big
contraption lashed down to it and they was a whoop’in and a haller’in to
beat the band. They was a hanging out the winders of that there truck and
all lumped in’da back like a wad of cottonmouths in a poke at a Sunday
service. Next thing I knowed they was a set’in that there contraption up
in the road a blocking traffic a com’in and a go’in like the funeral old
man Kellsey done had. If’in I didn know better I’da swore I heared one
of’um a yell’in, “eight feet of stoke baby, eight feet”. Now boys, I’ma
here ta tell ya, as sure is a Kentucky moon is blue, that there thing was
every bit’a eight feet and as crooked as a coonhounds back leg but as
smooth as new churned butter on an August day. But what the hell was that
thing anyway?

What’s going on in Dixie land these days…..? Someone told my sister’s boyfriend’s uncle that works over at the BP that Larry saw them damn downhillbillies driving thru town with some big ass ramp on the back of an old cotton trailer. Peggy ( my sister’s boyfriends uncle’s 3rd wife) called Lt Mike Sharp to find out what they’re doing with all the wood…. I’m not sure and I have not seen them but the word on the street in Statesville is that the DHB has built 8’ ramps for the GS race on Sunday. The downhillbillies are going to get them self’s killed….. Peggy said that one guy was going 30 mph off that ramp right out into the road…… “ damn hillbillies”

all weekend if you think it will help.

FYI -
COSTUME REQUIRED! 2 Second penalty per run for racers not wearing some form of costume or Halloween make-up. Skater costumes do not count. (You can’t come dressed like (Fill in the blank with your favorite or not so favorite skater)) .
IMPORTANT NOTE: This year’s Friday Night Hybrid counts in toward the OVERALL 2008 DIXIE CUP CHAMPIONSHIP for both PRO and OPEN riders. (In the past the Friday night event did not count toward the overall but because of the special opportunity with Halloween it is included this year!)

Happy Birthday Marion Karr!
I had an amazing time this weekend at the mini Dixie cup we had. Saturday's hill was amazing with the fresh pavement and sunday the DHB set up the whole timing system and ramps and we ran dual Hybrid and GS at Hobby park. Everyone was killing it, Marion, Evan, Wenztle, Jeff, Dholt, Bertman, Dustin, Bryan and Stephanie were all shredding. Hope we get to do it again soon. Bob, Marion's skater buddy who got on a skateboard for the first time in 20 years got an entire year's worth of racing experience in one weekend. He's the man with the van, amazing progression!

Just finished the KFCF (and slept for a couple days), getting MORE stoked on the Worlds, then the Dixie Cup is right around the corner. This fall is a blast!!!
