Traps in Salt Lake City

Traps, Salt Lake City's first longboard shop is closing due to the owners decision to only run one business instead of two. I'm sorry to see it go. Clayton had a real peg on the market here and was helping to make longboarding what it should be here in SLC. Anyway, i am thinking of purchasing his business from him. If anybody is interested in teaming up with me and becoming partneres in running a well established longboard skate shop here give me an email. I am a business/enviromental studies major at the university and already help run our family business and know the books in and out as well as longbording in and out, I'm just looking for a partner. In addition, kludy, chaput, any other people on this site that might represent a longboarding company- give me an email about possibly holding a fun competition here (just something to get the stoke up on longboaring in the valley) Slalom hasn't really taken off here yet so slalom vendors need not call, yet anyway. Thanks.

Apparently Flowlab has a distributor in Sweden. Does anyone know the contact information to this company? Flowlab knows but they don't reply to my e-mails.
I'd appreciate if you can reply by e-mail (too).

Anyone know if poolskater.com is a real business?
It has been almost three weeks and I've sent 4 emails and called and left my phone number twice on their answering machine(machine message also talks about another business), and I've gotten no reply to any of them.
"Looks" like they say the sell some good stuff. But maybe this is just the way they do business, I don't know. There is no online ordering just email and answering machine which does not get a response. Grant

I thought you might like the latest conversation I had in one of the local shops:
Me: "I was just curious if you've seen a sneak peek of the new Jay Adams shoe?"
Guy: "We don't carry Vans." (Must have been thinking Alva?)
M: "Oh, no, I think it's coming out on Osiris."
G: "Well, I can tell you one thing, it will be pretty basic and boring. I mean, the guy doesn't go jumping down stairs or anything."
**end of conversation**

Stopped by on the wknd. I was really impressed. They have a great selection of decks, wheels and trucks. Everyone was very friendly and the customer service was really great. I picked up a carveboard there a few days later. I love it! Didn't think I would ever find a shop in Calgary with such a great selection.

The best damn surfshop on the west coast before any in California. THe best shop for longboards and all your gear. And of course surfboards! Dude, make the trek up to Canada to explore this kickass shop. Then go do some cold water surfing. It's not that cold in Canada. It's just like northern california. C'ya - Rob

I just wanted to drop a line about the blue skunk. My friend lives in Houston and since we always go to St. Louis, we get to visit the blue skunk on like a daily basis. His friend once said, "It's awesome. And they have some awesome/sweet boards."
P.S. --- ask for a double whopper! the combination rules.
