I've read alot about "all line" shops like Longskate and Solidskate in this forum, and have to agree that they are both top notch shops, but dont leave out Streetboardz.com!...Guys you can trust, fast shipping and an excellent line of goodies. Check 'em out!

I concur with bemsha, solidskate is an excellant skate shop for international orders. My emails were received and answered promptly and they happily worked with me in finding the cheapest way to ship my order. I live in Australia, and my order came through a little over a week after it was sent (during christmas season too). Solidskate was a pleasure to work with and would recommend it to anyone.

The shop is on 2nd St., Belmont Shores. The entire upstairs is dedicated to longboards. They carry EVERYTHING - the most gorgeous selection of longboards I've ever seen, the full line of ABEC's, every kind of carving and downhill truck. I'm in love.

If you're living outside the U.S. and can't find some decent decks, gear, or completes in the country or area you live in, visit the SolidSkate site. This online skate shop ships internationally, has a great lineup of items, and the service is excellent: emails promptly answered, payment procedures easy and efficient – if you have a credit card, that is - and packaging and shipping done quickly.
I ordered a set of trucks, wheels, and bushings that I couldn't find or were extremely expensive in Japan where I live and I received them within six days by US Postal Service Air Mail (though this may differ on how long it takes to get through your local Customs).
I know that there are people who have had difficulty in (or were not able to) seeing the SolidSkate site; as a matter of fact, I also had some trouble in this aspect on my Mac. I wrote to Glen at SolidSkate about this and he answered (again, very promptly) that he understood the problem and would be working to get the Flash off of the homepage.
For the international longboarder, I recommend SolidSkate as the place to shop.
Thanks Glen!

Mwanawimbi-- In toronto, check out Hogtown extreme sports on King Street downtown. They are nice, have a pretty good selection, easy to get to. Along Queen st. and spadina, there are several skateshops--nothing to write home about longboard-wise, though. Prices are steep anywhere in Canada compared to the U.S., though (and I'm talking converted dollars).

Thanks Dave, but Calgary is far from Toronto! I don't live in Canada and will only go there for my job.
I was told by a guy from Quebec that Toronto shops sucked. I hope he's wrong, 'cause Canadian longskate prices are not European prices...

So, again, any help? Thanks again.

Ok, I'm going to continue this thread a bit more.

There are people who do not use Internet Exploder or Netscrape. Really. Surprised? Those people do not have the (dis?)ability to view the latest bell-and-whistle-enabled websites. When you decide to put anything but pure HTML to your on-line skateshop's website you are driving away customers. SolidSkate has lost a few hundred dollars worth of turnover because of the stupid flash animations on their website. How do I know this? Because I was unable to surf the site and buy stuff.

Putting that kind of stuff on your website is like not allowing people in sneakers to enter a fast food joint. I know you think Java-menus and Flash-animations are cool and dandy but they the only thing they achieve is make web surfing even more slow than it should be.

Forget Java, Flash and especially JavaScript. The two first don't work in all your customers' computers and the last is just a buggy piece of crap.

Saying "most people are happy with the site" is the worst thing you can say. Next you're propably telling that we should all skate new school popsicles because most people are happy skating those. Right?
