many cool memories of a hot and sunny perfect day on the hill
- Mel Ancheta showing up, lookin fit and like he hasn't missed a practice!? - around 30-40 peeps at mid-day - lot of groms trying out the spare slalom decks - timers all set up, but hardly used them, jam format worked out great - 75 degrees - the insane bungee cord pulls from the top of the hill, care of LBL - Josh giving away his old wheels to the kids - Spencer still lookin young for a ripe old 14 - the 'younger' Dave Mitchell bringing a jazzed crew from Corvallis - BBQ and Squirrels but no BBQ'd Squirrels - Brad's roadtrippin Van de Amoure
hope to see some shots / vids!
lookin forward to THE FUZZ in a couple weeks

Hey, the weather report still looks good, I have my extra panniers to put on my bike to go BBQ grocery shopping on the way home from work, so it looks like it's the proverbial "Go" as the tough-guys and kids say.
REMEMBER - HELMETS(and all other pads/guards advised), and CONES, BROOMS, BLOWERS if you have them.
Thanks, See you there - P

Hey, www.weather.gov says 69 degrees and Sunny. I already have started puttting things in 2 piles and getting my shopping list written down. If people want to bring chips or something else that does'nt need refrigeration then go ahead. I should have plenty of burgers and vegi-burgers and sausages(and accompanying buns) so don't bother bringing any of that. Thanks - Paul

Hey, As of tonight, www.weather.gov is forcasting 60-something degrees and sunny so it looks like we'll have to cancel due to good weather. Er, um I mean it looks like it's a "Go" at this point.
Stay tuned for further updates and bring your cones, brooms and blowers if it happens. -P

Hey, www.weather.gov says presently that there is a "chance of showers" for Salem on Sunday so thus far I'm still planning on it happening.
Stay tuned, I'll keep my finger on the pulse of the weather and post here.
Thanks - Paul

Yep it's the spherical in front and a killer stable angle in the back. STarted testing them a little over a week ago, got the bushings tweaked just right and will be putting them through 100+ miles tomorrow if the weather allows it! Would like to bring them to Salem and get you on them 1st hand Pauli!!
Lovin this setup... one great thing -- it's the lowest topmount LDP I've ever been on, top of the deck's just a hair over 4", running 76mm Gumballs and Zero wheelbite! which will come in handy in case it does rain tomorrow and we have to resort to that neanderthal method of pushing our boards with our feet.
Lots more on the review thread here --

Hope we might see some CSA crew Saturday night or Sunday morning at Beth's!!
Ultraskate kicks off tomorrow 7:45 a.m. at Gasworks park, we'll be up at Greenlake late afternoon.
cheers off to bed

James, Is your Virage front the model with the spherical bearing hanger/kingpin interface?
If so, how does it feel compared to a Radikal or Asphalt Playground(with the spherical bearing)?
Thanks - P

Happy Birthday Brad - Here's a hug over the internet!
Bummer about skating getting cancelled for tomorrow. It's nasty, cold, rainy here in Spokane as well. We're just thawing out from the deep freeze we had this week. Car is fixed, I will be in Oregon at the end of the month for a day or so during Spring Break, anybody want to skate?

.....for a variety of reasons going on with me, one in particular I don't want to deal with anytime soon.
If I do bail out, I'll post it here as far in advance as possible and offer up the date and Contest Calender Code # to whoever wants to put on an event and re-do the race page accordingly.
Thanks -P

RACE MAR15 CANCELLED-RAIN

Storm moving in for the weekend.
Rain. High near 47. South southwest wind between 11 and 16 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
Even if it doesn't actually rain during the contest, the road won't dry out because the dew point is only 3 degrees below the predicted temperature.
Bummer, I've been skating that road the last couple of days in brilliant sunshine but now the weather is changing....
