Hey, Pat asked me to set the courses, Saterday's straight and tight will be exactly that, the Longboard G/S will be oriented to newbies with longboards which means that anyone who has G/S'd will be able to REALLY go fast easily, and Sunday's Hybrid will be a true Hybrid/General course with a very mixed rhythm, interesting features(S-Curves, neg "gimme" offsets, pyramids) and nothing considered "tight", there will be some sections tighter than others but as much as I really like T/S, it's time for a break and time to have a true General/Hybrid where you can use your whole body and not feel cramped in between the cones. You WON'T need 18" wheelbases unless you really are fond of 18" wheelbases, then by all means, use an 18" wheelbase but I seriously doubt anyone will have any trouble with anything up to 21-22". OK, I think that's about all I should say otherwise I might "let the cat out of the bag" and spoil the surprize. -Paul

Well here's what went down, when the dust settled, and the hordes of scantily clad female groupies were finally under control, just three were left standing on the PODIUM!!
1st Stryker - 2nd Brad - 3rd Peters
Ok, yeah, it was just the three of us that showed, and Gareth was there for crowd control. Good times --some peeps here are ready for a BIG hill next week! Oh and Kasmar, your probation officer came asking for your whereabouts and mentioned something about "failure to check in"...

We're looking forward to skating a super fun hill with our buddys from the north. I just wanted to mention (mostly for Brad) that an "X" tribute band is playing at Sabalas Saturday night. If you're in town, it would be worth it. Get in touch if you need anything.

Pauli, that 'swellbow63' should be the one for Addington -- I checked the mail you sent out. Try it again a little later?
By the way if its not already clear, my pavedwave@comcast.net email is THE fastest, most reliable way to connect - 2nd is home phone, and last of all, cel phone. Stryker I assume you need the CSA timer in your hands well before June 11th (as a backup or primary) so let me know when we can connect before then, as I'm not sure I can make that event. If it rains tomorrow, we might do a CELL session downtown, but otherwise the plan is the Centennial trail from Snohomish at 9 a.m., and if crappy weather Sunday then another garage sesh.

Hey not at all Stryker, you guys pulled off a killer event due to our group having so many fast flexible thinkers, working out a great last minute plan B. And I think we've got the communication protocol locked now ;-) It was crazy hearing what was going on *while* I was racing the other event, a day I'll never forget. And great to catch the end of your uber-Tight dual course (looked tough!) and chattin' with the P-towners. Missed the young bloods shreddin the park but they were still so amped when I got there. Hoping for a repeat -- Auburn, outlaw, whatever works -

Hey, Since June and the State Games race will be soon here, lets get some more names signed up on the Contest Calender and the State Games of Oregon signup. Remember, it's on that buttery smooth pavement!
Also, if you're there, remember "mums the word" on all those other races we "don't" have there since we don't want the plug to be pulled on those races we "don't" have if the Salem Parks and Rec people find out and want to stop it. Thanks -P

Hey, I'm late on the draw here but I had a GREAT time at Mukilteo. I had fun obtaining last place in the park slalom and chasing Jackman in the Tight slalom. Timing System Schmiming Schmystem! That was fun and fast paced just the way it was. Who needs timers! All we really needed was a BBQ, OK, I'll stop saying that. The Park Slalom was fun, good course by Hughes, I'll have to work on my frontsides some more I guess. The Tight Slalom was truly what I would call tight for that parking lot, good course Styker(or whoever came up with it). That was a good idea mixing the 2 event together, I think it got some otherwise non-slalomers slaloming. Watching Gareth, Corey, Styker and Hughes in the T/S I was surprized to place as well as I did. Skip was looking better, so was the "boss-man" Scott Moore and Severing Moore, better than I've ever seen them. Addington hands-down had the raddest if not the fastest run in the Park Slalom, I think the Dave Addington Award goes to Dave Addington in this instance. Everyone was fun to watch and blab with, fun riding with Mel-man. Schlater-Paul

Dan made sure it was fast for the advanced guys and easy enough for the ones with less experience. Great Job! I look forward to more Park Slalom events this Summer. :) John

First of all I want to apoligize to James Peters for pinning blame on him for not bringing the timing system. I obviously miss comunicated with him. It was totally my resposiblity to gather all the necessary items for this race. I should have secured the system before hand.James again SO Sorry. My Bad! I still think that it came off pretty good. Thanks to Brad, Corey and Dan Kasmar for helping set up and tear down the Slalom . Thank you to Gareth for bringing all the rest of the race stuff.and enough stoke for all to get pumped up.Everyone seemed to have a good time. It was great to see those two little rippers Sky and TJ totally school most of the adults. I see a very bright future foe them. They took to Slalom very quickly. With some practice they will be the Northwest threat to the COSS kids next year. See Ya all at Salem. John
