Hey, I moved the BBQ to March 25th, unfortunately my wife and I have a trip planned during that time, so I'm looking at these other dates:
-March 11th 2007 Sunday(the hill WILL be messier since the SBD club won't have cleaned it up yet) -April 1st 2007 Sunday(the hill should be cleaner since the SBD club should have cleaned it by then for their race).
Does anyone have any thoughts on the feasability of these dates?Post here or email me ASAP Thanks- Paul

FYI: All equipment received. I will wire and test everything and have it ready for the March BBQ and slalom-fest gig at Salem (at the latest).
Note that adding the additional 1000' of wire (plus more shipping costs) took me over budget, and I'm hoping to recoup this through donations at the March race/BBQ thing.

James, I just dropped all the parts I have with Pat on Wednesday, I have no idea if he has performed his magic on them or not. So if timing is desired I would bring what you have. Maybe a GS single lane down the back road? I'm bringing a broom in case WSU graveled during our blizzard last week.

Check the Contest Calender, I had to change both dates for both races since the Salem Soap Box Derby Club finally posted their 2007 schedule and of course, both of our events were on the dates they had planned. I moved both dates to one week later which means the hills should be a little cleaner if the SBD people clean the hill the week before. - Thanks Paul

stryker- the restrictions for traveling across the border in a car are different, you wont need a passport until jan 2008, unless you plan on flying for some strange reason

PAT CHEWNING - I, Paul Howard, as the founding President of the Slalom Heritage Conservancy Foundation and member of Cascade Slalom Association do hereby move to authorize Mr Patrick Chewning to have all powers and authority to sign petitions and applications for any and all Cascade Slalom Association functions that he sees fit to do so on behalf of the other members of Cascade Slalom Association in their entirety.
OK, so that was overdone and lame but that's the way I like it.
Go for it Pat, That's great, that should be a good event and good way to recruit more racers. Thanks - Paul

Just received the permit to use the Aumsville skateboard park for the park slalom event at the Oregon State Games.
All I need is a "duly authorized representative of CSA" to sign the document.
I guess that will be me, if at least one CSA member gives me this authorization... anyone?
This is the year I visit skateboard parks and learn to go banked... 50 isn't too old for that is it?
