Roadtrip Portland to Spokane
On 9/7/2007 Pat Chewning wrote in from United States  (67.189.nnn.nnn)

Anyone from the Portland area want to carpool to Spokane next weekend?

Basically, my car is going there with me, my skateboard stuff, the timing equipment. There will be room for someone else. It is a 6hr drive, I could use another driver, or at least someone to yank the wheel from me as I fall asleep and head off the road.

Hey Cat, Do any of you Norcal slalomer's use the "NorCal" forum? It seems like I never see anything but the downhill crowd using it. Schlater- Paul

Stryker, anything in the downtown area will be close to the venues.
Rodeway Inn is cheap and really not bad. Orbitz.com has all of the options.
I tried to book a block of rooms in a hotel adjacent to a cool parking garage for some bombing but they were really proud of their rooms$$$$$ -Mark

Directions for Spokane Event
On 8/31/2007 Judy wrote in from United States  (67.185.nnn.nnn)

Okay, here's the mapquest for Lincoln Park which is Sunday's event. I gave you directions from the intersection of I90 Freeway and Thor, which is probably the easiest. I've not created a link like this before, so if it doesn't work do Mapquest and your destination is the intersection of Southeast Blvd. and E. Rockwood Blvd, Spokane, WA. which is where Lincoln Park is located. Oh yeah, if you have questions, please call Mark at his correct cell phone number (509)999-2873.

Spokane Event
On 8/31/2007 Judy wrote in from United States  (67.185.nnn.nnn)

Okay, here's the latest and greatest on the Spokane Event:

September 15-16, 2007. This is an outlaw race.
Saturday racing 11 a.m. to whenever. Practice from 10a.m. to 11 a.m. Racing will be in a new housing development. We will be running hybrid slalom.

Sunday racing will begin at 10 a.m. Practice from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Racing will be at a lovely park where we train every Tuesday night. We will be expeditious and try to get everyone on the road as early as possible.

We're really trying to encourage a great first timers turnout. This means wives (Amy Roe!), girlfriends, Moms (Amy Roe and Jody!), and other newcomers to this sport. Plan on racing at a level that will be comfortable for everyone. Longboards are welcome.

Helmets are mandatory. Bathroom facilities are close but not on site. Please bring water as there is no water available at either spot. Plenty of room for chairs, popups, etc.

Saturday night we're planning on going to a local pizza spot for dinner (no host). Judy and Mark have some floor space available. Just make sure you are not allergic to dogs or cats.

Directions will follow in the next post. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Mark at (509)951-7554. Have a great long weekend.
