CAS, I live in the city around the tenderloin and would definitely be down for some night riding. I've got plenty of experience in traffic though usually not at those speeds. I can footbreak comfortably up into the 40s though so I shoud be ok. Shoot me an email or reply here and we can find a time to meet up. Have you ever checked out the run behind the UCSF medical center. Comes down from Twin peaks to parnassus, not sure on the quality of pavement but it has some nice turns and doesn't look like it gets much traffic. -Julien

I am a park junkie too! Sounds like fun Rich.
I rode 16 parks in 9 days during x-mas vacation and boy was beat afterwards (plus a downhill sesh on GMR and slalom at Pump staion and a CCMF slalom race in Cambria, whew!
45 parks is no small task but where there's a will there's a way. You can do it!

Hi all,
This October I turn 45 years young. Will celebrate the occasion by skating 45 different skateparks in Northern Cal over 9 days. (Or at least attempt to pull this off if my body can handle it!) Will visit 5 different skateparks each day from October 6th to 14th 2007. Have reserved the Internet domain name 45at45.com to showcase the plan and plug my sponsors. Will be getting the website up within a month, then posting some notes about the training regimen and test runs to be done over the next 9 months. If anyone wants to join in for some of the 5-parks-in-a-day practice sessions, let me know.
Maybe on one of the Sundays I should do Golden Gate Park slalom as one of the stops. It is a park that closes the roads so people can skate -- guess that makes it a Skate Park!

This Monday Jan. 15th I'm working a short day on the MLK Holiday. Plan to skate at Berkeley Skatepark around 2-3:30 pm.
Weather forecast by Accuweather for 1 until 3pm is 50° F Sunny. Low wind speed of only 8 mph. I skated Walnut Creek yesterday when it was 47 to 48° and it did not feel cold wearing jeans and a light jacket.

Joanna, HC, Julien and anyone wanting to hit some vert...
Let's do a Berkeley skatepark weekday evening session when the weather gets above 50 degrees. I work about 2 miles from there. Evenings are not crowded.
Let's also plan a Walnut Creek skatepark session for either a Saturday afternoon or weekday evening. I skate there almost weekly and can show you all some lines.

Ditto what Drew said! It was a great day & we all got in a lot of skating-- about 4+ hours worth of up & down & up & down! Judi, Mark, John, Eric, Tom & Steven were missed. See everyone on the 6th-- weather permitting. Happy New Year.

Great day skating today. Great company and digicam filming too. Weather was clear sky and temps in the 50s, a tailwind in the morning added speed untill noon when it reversed direction then it was all about style practice. Cat's putting it down, tore it up on the red dot course with her new Radikals on a 27" Kieth Hollien deck. She ran more than a few spanking clean fast runs! We witnessed some upcoming competion for our gal Judi who was missed today. Norski also came down and delivered a real growth in form and speed ability, giving me another old guy workout trying to keep up on the course. Fun shirts that Cat made for the BASA SFJ movement. Thanks Cat. See you all again soon hopefully next weekend will include John, Steven, Mark, and Tom as well!
Have a Happy New Year 2007

Another fun session in SJ yesterday. The drive back & forth went quicker because of Norski's great company! I still don't think he believes I actually had a Black Oak Arkansas CD in my car-- yea, there are a few of us fans left! (including Norski) Thanks for lunch Drew. Drew's wife, Doreen, makes the best cookies I have ever eaten! It's definitely worth the 1 1/2 hour drive to spend time with such awesome people. Judi, Tom, Eric & Steven were missed. See ya'll on the 30th. Merry Christmas to all! P.S. I'm glad we have our own little corner here on NCDSA-- there isn't much love going on in the slalom thread right now! Remember, SFJ!!

Who wants to hit the pacifica park in the morning on the 23rd, a saturday, assuming no rain. what time does that place open??
I'll show whoever comes a semi-secret spot with 13 or 14 180 hairpins on a 5-ft. wide bike-path right next to the skatepark. its super fun!

Great time as always, thanks everyone! and great to have some new faces. Will's Skatescepter is pretty wild, thanks!
Hey Marcus, you can "cheat" with what you have to act like a narrower hanger by simply floping your wheels inside out and running them backwards for now. Just make certain they still clear the truck when at full lean. I bet you'll notice a difference.
I'm hitting the road for the hollidays (heading south for sun and skating.) See you all next year, if not at Jonny Millers race on the 31st in SLO, Cheers and Happy Hollidays!!!!!!!!
