The legendary Hot Heels Festival from 11.-15. july 2001: first time ever we announce the Hot Heels Camp where everybody is welcome to join the camp, if you got any questions email or check out www.hotheels.net.
Hot Heels grew in the past 10 year to the absolut cultstyle event. This year 6 different Sports such as streetluge, Gravity - Bikes, inline, stand up skateboard, snakeboard and the classic longobard with everything started will race each other to sign in on the legendary wandertrophy. If you signed in 3 times, you are allowed to take it home. Only two people in the 10 year history managed to take the trophy home, the legends Ralph Kohler GER, and Stefan Wagner GER.
Over 130 competitors from 5 continents and 14 countries are expected to race for the Hot Heels Champion.
timetable:
thursday: Practice all day long
friday: Qualifying all day
saturday: finals up to 6 man heats
If you are not there it will be your own fault to miss this event !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. Hot Heels Music Festival 13.-14. july 2001:
well well what we started last year will go on this year as well. The music festival is a major part of the Hot Heels Downhillfestival. We cannot afford the big boys but as you all know they all started at festivals like the Hot Heels. Our bands support Hot Heels big time and we will try to support them as well. So get all your friends together and join the Hot Heels festival which will write history this year.
If god means it nice with us we even would be able to announce two more international top act´s live on stage, but it takes a few more days.

Revere and Pali

Thanks to everybody who made the Revere ride so epic. Slalom, bank riding, 360 spinning, Nuclear Pickle failure, bag piping, etc. Some of the usual suspects were missing, but there was no wait to ride the banks. Sure was great to have Jack and Paul down to run some slalom with us. Some of us went up to the Pali bowl afterwards, which is a great place to hurt yourself. It wasn't dangerous enough for Barley and O'Shei, who insisted on the dirt roll-in. In the tradition of DT's tow-in to the banks, and Brad Edward's fence drop, J.O. decided to end the day with a bombing run down Palisades Drive, while mingling with traffic, which Glen filmed. "Not fast enough" says John,"Next time I'm starting from the top." Cool day, thanks everybody.

What a great, laid back day. This event is gathering steam, and hopefully it will continue through the summer! Props to those who turned out today including misterbill, hc, Don, grinch, Bruce, Jonathan and the Comet crew, and everyone else there whose name I'm forgetting. We even had a few WOMEN running the cones -- now that's historic right there! People were stopping on their bikes to watch, and I got a few unsolicited comments that they were appreciating what they were seeing. Tons of boards to try, too. The top of the course morphed into a GS course towards the end, and I'm betting we'll see more of this in the coming days.

D.C. Area Slalom Session - Today! (June 10)

A few Baltimore/Washington area slalom riders will be gathering today in Gaithersburg. Anyone out there who'd like to join in is welcome. Beginning at noon, we will be in the back parking lot of the Russell Office Park, which is on the corner of Russell Avenue and Christopher Street. Find that intersection and we should be fairly easy to find from there. The Russell Office Park is diagonally across the intersection from the Price Club/Costco. The more, the merrier!
