Revere
On 6/25/2001 DT wrote in from (198.81.nnn.nnn)

I got there around 2:00 and the Gravity boys were already skating. We had a lot of fun and watched these two groms launch themselves off the ledge of the roof of the school(like a 12' drop). Ben and Brad killed it!

wlac/revere
On 6/24/2001 attila wrote in from (205.188.nnn.nnn)

nobody at revere- went there at 1pm an left after 10 minutes for wlac to run some mellow giant with ritchie/marc, scott and (kim?). my mom is visiting from germany and can't believe I am into this whole thing (again!)- "Mom I just want you to be proud of me"! Somebody brought one of those dirtboards- you gotta try one of those things- especially after riding harder stradas- those boards stay glued to the road no matter what! Scott- it's exiting to hear that things are shaping again for the wlac races- I'm ready (as the rest of us).

All events I missed
On 6/23/2001 Glen wrote in from (216.102.nnn.nnn)

Brickyard Thurs.-out of town, will probably be there Tuesday night.
Sat. - just got back from a week of being a counselor at 2nd-4th grade summer camp too tired for anything the next few days.

Sun. Revere/Sepulveda Dam - to tired still, Sepulveda dam has always been a near guarenteed bust, plus it's an uphill push to the bank. In the young days we used to do bicycle tow in skating at the dam, that was the only way to get enough speed to do much.

GGP and Pride Parade
On 6/23/2001 Misterbill wrote in from (158.252.nnn.nnn)

Hey guys, I just remembered that the Pride Parade is tomorrow. I know it runs along Market, but this may snarl up traffic for us gettin' to the park. I have heard that there will be ONE MILLION people in the city for this years parade. I am also wondering if our "secret" parking lot will be full before we get there, it was the week before last. You can look at it in one of two ways: Either a logistics nightmare, or a chance to be in SF during one of the wildest events of the year. I am sure that the "people watching" at the park will be spectacular. What do you guys think?

Turns out i was the only one that showed at the brickyard and for over an hour i got to skate by myself. It was sooo much fun, kinda reminded me when i use to go down to Baja to surf solo. I skated so hard i puked a few times, but it couldnt stop me. Turns out my surgory was moved to Tues, so i get to ride a little more and will be at Revere on Sunday. See Ya

Dam Session!
On 6/20/2001 Breamo wrote in from (207.167.nnn.nnn)

The G boys are going to skate the Lake Henshaw dam on thursday afternoon/evening. Super fun bank, about 4-5 high. We've used it in ads and such... If anyone wants to hook up for the sessios, let us know. The dam is just outside of Escondido about 20 minutes.

WLAC practice Sunday
On 6/18/2001 Scott Peer wrote in from (64.12.nnn.nnn)

This Sunday we're skating at West LA College on the back road (no permit, no race), starting at 11AM. Bring your skates, skateboards, buttboards, cones, and coolers for a fun day of practice!

West LA College is located in Culver City near the 405 and 10 freeways, just southeast of Jefferson and Overland, at 4800 Freshman Drive. This time we'll skate on Sophomore Drive behind West LA College, which is closed to traffic on Sundays. To get there, take Freshman Drive to the right turn, and then up the hill, where the name changes to Sophomore Drive. We'll be past the "do not enter" sign.
