Andrew, I'm not sure about the next couple of weeks, but mark your calendar for Sept. 8th. It will be an event to remember. I haven't stopped grinning since the last one I attended July 20th and 21st. Great bunch of guys, too. ( Ron, GBJ, Mitch, DR [ol' #3] and the Riordan clan, BrianP, Bobo, Slappy, and more that I'm forgetting. Should be others coming in from California, New England, Chicago???, West By God Virginia???, Pennsylvania
Keep an eye on this site for more info as we closer to race day.

G'burg - Sat Night

I was hoping to make it last Sat night, unfortunately my 19 month daughter decided she did not want to go to sleep on time (8:00 pm), so I had to spend the better part of Sat night lulling her to sleep.... I ended up going to bed early and taking in an early morning session at Lansdowne.
Will there be any more G'burg slalom events in the next couple of weeks? I live about 5 min from Quince Orchard/270 and would love to check it out.
Later,
Andrew

PCB & Mitch, I'll be up there tonight at G-berg. Hope the weather holds. If not, we should scam a parking garage for some carve turns.

Mitch, could you bring your Fibreflex Response 3-ply setup on Sat? I think I will be there, won't be racing due to my ankle needing more time to get over my Spring breakage, and would appreciate having a chance to try the board out.

For those who would like to ride where slides were developed, on Saturday, August 11th, the day before the GGP Slalom race we will be meeting in Berkeley, CA. The meeting place is at a coffee shop called, "The Strada". It is located at the corner of College and Bancroft Way. Look it up with Mapquest and meet us at 12:00 noon. We will leave for the hills at 12:15pm.
HC is helping bring more skaters and everyone is welcome. The level of difficulty regarding the roads we ride will be determined by the skill of the riders that attend. Don't forget your slider gloves or you won't be riding. You are however welcome to drive. The average distance of the roads is between 1 and 3 miles.
If you have any questions, post them on the board.

Is there anyone in The City who will be at GGP this Sunday who is available to stop by Purple Skunk today or tomorrow to pick up a few dozen baseball caps? These are prizes for the upcoming GGP 2001 race on Aug 12. You would then deliver them to me this Sunday at the GGP practice ride, 10AM-1PM.

So far, I'll be there and GBJ says he'll be there, "doing light duty", and may be cutting out early. GBJ says he'll definitely be there tomorrow night to run duals. Haven't heard from anyone else. Are you coming?

I'm with you, Bobo, I probably could run the downhill, but probably won't, I've never even seen an "official" downhill race before so a little spectating first can't hurt. Also I'll have my kids that weekend. But, I will make it to the slalom, to make my cash donation and demonstrate my fully undeveloped skills. Who else from New England will throw down???

I'm so there! I may even compete. I have the equiptment and the chops but I may save it for the slalom race GBJ's putting on. I'm definitly entering that. I may be in two contests in one day! That hasn't happened since the 70's.
