So far it looks like me, Jon from Comet, and Molly will be skating tomorrow morning. I usually get there around 10, but since my cones have not shown up I will have to hope that one of the conepeople gets there early.
I think that Steven King, Don O'Shei, and Gary Cross will also be out there for a little pre-La Costa practice session.

Westwood Ski Club has gotten a new insurance policy that includes skating again! Join us in celebrating by coming skating this Sunday in Tujunga!
We'll have a skates and gates slalom practice (with some
gates and some cones), starting at 11 and running into the
mid-afternoon. It will be on the fire road immediately south of the 210 freeway eastbound onramp from La Tuna Canyon Road. From the south, take the 2 freeway to the 210 and go west to the La Tuna exit, go left on La Tuna, under the freeway, and it's the first left after the eastbound onramp. From the west and north, take the 118 or 5 freeway to the 210 and go east to La Tuna, and at the end of the offramp go straight ahead to the fire road parking. We'll be skating a quarter mile up the road from the closure gate.
Willie Delorie and George Merkert are working on permits for West LA College, watch for more details soon.

For those interested in a little ho down, montreal will be holding a race in the steepest, windyest section of town. practice will be friday night, nov 9'th and race day the 10'th.
montreal is a beautiful city in the fall. a wee bit cold though. bring yer woolies! ha ha ha. the nightlife is lively and they sell beer on every corner ;)
please contact me for more info. we can arrange airport pick-ups for any out of towners.

I'm not sure if I can make it this weekend - I'll try though. We like to ride Wisconsin st. and Pennsylvania st @ 20th st. in Pot Hill. The sidewalks make great runs there. Here is some video we shot there last week:

Friday is not so good for me, but any other day of the week is fine.
Mike, we usually skate presidio, southgate, Clarendon (I think that's how you spell it). send me an e-mail if you want to go skating one of these nights. we'll also post a time and place (usually at purple skunk) as soon as we reached a consensus.
