Arab, you didn't get ripped off. I did. I donate videos and that no good Ed Econ. takes credit for it being his new slalom video. Hey Ed, when did you start editing? :-).

I think JG is leaving at 1:00pm. We couldn't find any suitable terrain on Capitol Hill that didn't have traffic. They're working on the street on the southside so that might be a possibility in the future. We then went to Oakwood rd, set a course ran it a few times and got run off. Too much truck traffic during the week. Then it was off to Fountainhead park. We found a neighborhood near Fountainhead with some nice steep runs, worth checking into again. We got to fountainhead and it started to rain. Would've liked to show him Drumaldry in Bethesda but the rain started coming down even harder.

The final race of the season was held at West LA College with cool, windless, and sunny weather. Attila and Richie set an excellent giant slalom course that had wide turns at the top and then some fast wiggles at the bottom. All racers completed at least one of the two runs. After the GS there was an unofficial tight slalom race. Ed Economy donated copies of his new slalom video, and Howard Gordon kicked in 4 sets of Turner wheels as prizes to go with the Westwood Sports Club glasses for the top finishers.
Giant Slalom (best of 2 runs, 0.2 sec penalty/cone): Skateboard: John O'Shei 26.727 Mike Maysley 26.82 Richard Carrasco 27.035 Barrett Deck 27.249 Sean Mallard 27.541 Eric Groft 27.662 Steve Evans 27.89 Chris Chaput 28.192 Attila Aszodi 28.351 Siali Saih 28.378 tie! David Hackett 28.378 tie! Gary Hornby 28.69 Roger Jennings 29.082 Howard Gordon 30.957 Isabelle Caudle 31.509 Michael Gorman 31.89 Junior Skateboard: Dylan Gordon 51.592 Inline - women: Pat Grasch 27.206 Inline - men: Scott Peer 23.87 Warren Fokke 26.745 Frank Boyd 31.519
The downhill course followed the same track as in the previous race, starting steep and straight, going to a full speed right turn, and then the tight left to the finish line. The field was packed with X Games and Gravity Games medalists, world champions, and world record holders, and competition was intense but friendly.
Street Luge: 1. Dave Rogers 2. Rob Ruhman 3. Chris Chaput 4. Jason Johnson
Classic Luge (buttboard): 1. Dave Rogers 2. Chris Chaput 3. Darren Lott 4. John Rogers

How long will the Bostonian be in DC? Looks like it will dry up Tuesday but the winds will be northwest 20 to 30 mph. Let me know what JG's plans are. Though if I can't ride with him this trip, we will have to get the Mid-Atlantic Slalom Crew to take a road trip up to Mass after the snow melts.

I think we're going to start at Capitol Hill around 11:00am, then go from there. He didn't set any courses last night, we ran a GBJ course. LBK call me if you want to join us 301-963-9756.

LBK, I got Gilmour there after dark. As usual he was blazing, he opened some eyes out there, got everyone charging harder and riding more aggressive. I'm going skating with John on Monday, join in if you can.

While it will be a bit cold and cloudy, there shouldn't be any rain tomorrow. I will be out there around 10:30-11:00 and plan to skate until mid afternoon. I'll bring a broom and 70 more cones. Lets run a couple of different courses at the same time.

anyone who was considering a Plunger Banks run after WLAC, forget it. I went by today, it needs much cleaning and was really wet. 4 people with shovels and brooms for an hour or two at least. We won't have enough light to do it and it won't be dry.

JohnG, We'll probably have a sum of at least 250 cones. 3pm is a little late, I believe the sun sets at around 4:45. There are plenty of lights at the Park&Race, so that’s not an issue, but you will definately want to have stuff to wear that will keep you warm. Do you have plans yet to be picked up by someone?
