$2 boarding & skiing @ Wisp this Thursday. Get your ticket @ SkiChalet or contact Longboardkook and he might be able to pick one up for you.

Last week was a blast, this week should be even better.

We're meeting at the Cambria race hill at 1pm Sunday, Jan 13. Same dual format as our December 31st race, though we might run a bit easier course for the kids. Email for directions.

looks like the ground still wet, we found two parking garages in SJ, one have no security, you can set up cones, 100meters long. The other is a 6 level ride, standup and buttboarding fun, great for rainy days.

since I'm not sure about the road conditions (cones and a GS course blocking my way) I think I'll be passing on the dump rd. I'll probably make a snakepit, Revere, Piece College or Knapp Park run instead.
any takers?

Me, my little brother, John Dillon and Dave Mullin, both from Baltimore area, are going to head out to Blue Knob Ski Resort this Thursday and Wisp next Thursday. It is cheap deal if you have your own equipment but you need to purchase the lift tickets from Ski Chalet. The resorts are in PA & MD about 2-3 hours from DC. Come on out and join us and stay in shape for slalom skateboarding. BTW, let me know if you need me to pick up a lift ticket for you or you want to caravan.

Laters,

hey SoCal,
On Fri 01/04/02 @ 2300hrs one of the best bands you will ever hear will play a free show in LA. Wifey & I are driving up from Diego just to hear these guys.

LA based Macho Pinto, comprised of former members of the Northern Virginia based Iceboxers will play thier 1st West Coast show after a brilliant debeut in DC last weekend.

the Taix(pronounced Tex) Lounge is @ 1911 W.Sunset Blvd and has no cover and no minimum. Valet parking is 1.25. If you get lost call 213-484-1265 for directions.

Jawn & Jon are old friends of mine and are true soul skaters from back in the day and would love to see you there. Jon will probably even ride his old extruded fibreglass Hobie w/Bennett HiJackers on stage.

The best cross training for slalom skateboarding in the DC Area has got to be snowboarding! I'll be concentrating on sliding the slopes the next few months; however I'll plan on attending the DC Outlaw Slalom Series. Hope to see as many eastcoast slalom skateboarders on the slopes or at the Series.
